Bring out the knives

Knives are out in the worldwide media reports, including what are very suspicious stories.

Calgary has its own “worst massacre”, and on surface, the unlikely story is full of occult numbers and the usual simmy characters, lack of details, hospitals, etc.

At this point it doesn’t appear they did anything to precipitate the outburst of violence that left them dead in the early hours of Tuesday morning, stabbed to death by a man who had been invited to the party. The lone suspect, 22-year-old Matthew de Grood, is in custody. He is the son of a veteran Calgary police officer and reportedly a University of Calgary law student. Tuesday night he was charged with five counts of first-degree murder.

Police said they would not confirm the victim’s names until next-of-kin had all been notified.

“serve” – to perform duties or services for (another person or an organization).

    ca.news.yahoo.com/video/visita…

(video – but there will be no tears!)

Listen to the in insincerity of this “reporter”, sounds like just ” business as usual” imo.

Note – this video counts down…here are some highlights…

@2:26 – “…and he had the unique quality of wanting to serve…”

@1:51 – looks into the camera’s eye, then action!- do your “serving”, but by all means, don’t shed a tear.

@:37 – “…and i think we want to take away from this, that Jordan was really wanted to serve people and when we learn life how to serve people, we do very well…”

    @:23 – “…and being able to serve…”

    Update on this “story”
    news.ca.msn.com/local/calgary/…

Highlights of the article and screenshot.

    1. Alleged: (of an incident or a person) said, without proof, to have taken place
or to have a specified illegal or undesirable quality.

“It’s alleged Matthew de Grood, the son of Calgary police Insp. Douglas de Grood,
stabbed the five students at an end-of-year gathering in the northwest community
of Brentwood around 1:20 a.m. MT Tuesday before fleeing.”

    2. “Here are the funeral services and other information announced so far:

    – Segura: A public visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. MT
at McInnis & Holloway on Centre Street. His funeral will take place at 10 a.m. MT
Monday at the same location. Condolences may be forwarded through the funeral home’s
website. A tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park in Segura’s memory.”

Here’s an ironic twist, Jordan Segura, Calgary Stabbing Victim, Worked In Funeral Home.

    3. – Perras: A public visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. MT at McInnis & Holloway’s
Park Memorial Chapel. Her funeral will take place at 1 p.m. MT at First Alliance Church in
southeast Calgary, and attendees are encouraged to wear colourful attire.

—>(Her family has also set up a memorial scholarship in her name at Counterpoint Dance Marda Loop.
They ask that in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to donate money to the scholarship fund do so at
any TD branch by referencing the Kaiti Perras Love of Dance Scholarship Fund.)<—–

"…and attendees are encouraged to wear colourful attire."

Is this a funeral or a party? I remember the days when 1. you were not told how to dress for a funeral
and 2. When dressing in black was the standard "attire", how the times are a changin'.

    4. – Hunter: A public visitation will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel on Saturday from 7:30 p.m.
to 9:30 p.m. MT His funeral will take place at 2 p.m. MT at Christ Church in the southwest
followed by a gathering at the Priddis Community Hall in Priddis, Alta. Expressions of sympathy
may be forwarded to the family via the Fister's Garden Chapel website.

    5. Two of the five victims lived at the house where the killings happened, Calgary police spokesman
    Kevin Brookwell said on Thursday.
Brookwell said de Grood knew at least one person at the party — a family friend, known by the 22-year-old for a long time.

    6. De Grood's lawyer, Allan Fay, says he is not aware of any mental-health concerns with his client,
and that de Grood has not been placed under suicide watch.
A court-ordered psychological assessment has not yet taken place, but Fay says he understands the
Crown prosecutor may request one at de Grood's next court appearance on Tuesday.

There have been reports that de Grood's mother had called police before the stabbings happened early
Tuesday morning after receiving some worrying text messages, but Fay could not confirm that information.

The only thing that shocked me in this article was their was no plug for the upcoming album coming out, shameless promotion in many article i've read.

You know, I’m beginning to think that debunking these stories requires nothing more than demanding a few facts in the tradition of traditional fact-checking. Here’s the media report on this– and there are no specific addresses, names, times or anything. It’s all fuzzy…. it’s so fuzzy it’s ludicrous. Take a look
