These submersibles are worthy of deeper inquiry – there is indeed a parallel with “lunar expeditions” [from about 15:30 in the audio]
These Russia MIR vehicles seem to have a monopoly on exploration and get called in as and when – exploring the Titanic, diving to 300m [!] in Lake Geneva for scientific research which is only a fraction of its alleged capability:
    www.paulrose.org/news/2012/02/…

One big warning bell concerns the company [website unavailable] to dive to the Titanic from 2003 to 2012
which has much in common with Richard Branson’s space tourism.
    web.archive.org/web/2012010610…

60K bucks per head, 40 places. Expedition members [USD 40K in 2009!]
Dr Sagalevitch [designer of and go-to man for everything MIR1/2] is assisted by two highly experienced submersible pilots, Yvgeniy Cherniaev and Victor Nischeta and by the highly skilled MIR support team.
Don Walsh [US Navy, NASA , Texas A&M….**], Mike McDowell [Australian founder of DOE] and New Zealanders Rob McCallum and Peter Batson
” it marks the end of our Titanic operations” why so??

    ** worth reproducing Walsh’s bio

Don Walsh served in the Navy from 1948 to 1975. Duty was mostly in submarines during his 14 years at sea which included the Korean and Vietnam wars. Walsh commanded a submarine in the Pacific Fleet 1968-70. Shore duty assignments were in ocean science and technology. At retirement he held the rank of Captain.
In 1975 he became dean of marine programs, and professor of ocean engineering, at the University of Southern California. At USC he founded and directed their Institute for Marine and Coastal Studies. In 1983 he left the University to establish his consulting business, International Maritime Incorporated, as a full-time enterprise.
Walsh has a BS in engineering from Annapolis ; an MS and PhD in oceanography from Texas A&M University, and an MA in political science from California State University at San Diego.
He has had over 200 papers and articles published, plus editing five books on ocean-related subjects. Over the past 40 years, his lecturing activities have taken him to 60 nations where he has given more than 1,500 lectures, TV and radio appearances.
As an adventurer-explorer, he has worked in the deep oceans, polar regions and space. From 1959 to 1962 he was the first commander of the Navy’s Bathyscaphe Trieste and was designated U.S. Navy deep submersible pilot #1 in 1959. In 1960 he and co-pilot Jacques Piccard dove Trieste into the deepest place in the World Ocean, a depth of seven miles.
Dr. Walsh first went to the Arctic in 1955 and Antarctic in 1971 as a member of Operation Deep Freeze ’71. He has worked at both the North and South Poles, having made 10 expeditions to the Arctic and 16 to the Antarctic. His contributions to polar exploration were recognized in 1973 when a mountain ridge in the Antarctic was named for him.
At Texas A&M (1965-68) he worked with NASA Houston during the late Gemini and early Apollo programs, to determine how spacecraft could be used to study the oceans. Walsh became one of the first oceanographers to work with remote sensing from aircraft and spacecraft.
Don has participated in most of Deep Ocean Expedition’s programmes since the company was founded [in 1997]. This includes dives to the Titanic, the Mid-Atlantic ridge and ancient shipwrecks off Marseilles

Exploration of the Titanic wreck, if indeed there is one, is a well fenced off area…

In June 2003, OE sponsored an 11-day research cruise to the wreck site aboard the Russian Research Vessel Akademik Mstislav Keldysh

,and yet in 2004 there is no mention of the Russians!

A professor of oceanography at the University of Rhode Island (URI) External Link and director of its Institute for Archaeological Oceanography, Dr.[Robert] Ballard and his team of scientists from NOAA and other institutions spent 11 days at the site, mapping the ship and conducting scientific analyses of its deterioration. The team worked aboard the NOAA Research Vessel Ronald H. Brown from May 30 through June 9, and used remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to conduct a sophisticated documentation of the state of Titanic that was not possible in the 1980s. This “Look, don’t touch” mission utilized high-definition video and stereoscopic still images to provide an updated assessment of the wreck site.

In 2007 DOE utilised the Russian MIR submersibles led by Artur Chilingarov to dive to the sea bed beneath the ice at 4,300m at the North Pole….with Sagalevitch piloting one of the MIRs, the other piloted by Yevgeny Chernyaev

You also need to know that the MIRs are too small to hold your standard portable toilet facilities. You will be supplied with temporary unisex portable bottles. And if you did get lucky and scored a dive seat – don’t forget your cameras!

Some other submersibles are linked here, eg Alvin of Woods Hole which can allegedly dive to 4500m – which happens to be just over the polar depth.

Anatoly Sagalevich and James Cameron are friends and have worked together for many years. The Russian MIR’s provided the deep water platforms for four James Cameron films: “ Ghosts of the Abyss “, “ Aliens of the Deep “, “ Expedition Bismark “ and “ Titanic “

Great post, smj. Please keep them coming as the spirit moves you.

BTW, the link you gave to the etymology of the name Kary is brilliant. Dr. Syntax from masonic lore would be proud. Ab commented on the “name game” in these scams in his chat with Unreal I believe. It is an integral part of what they do. Your links are the “smoking gun” (pardon the vernacular) to scam nature of the hustle.

The same is true with the connections you post from benal to perutz to crick. I remember listening to a Hoax Busters Call where Chris took you to task about doubting the DNA game. I am a huge fan of Chris’s and mean him no disrespect but, he just has not explored the topic deeply enough. It is the one thing I know… take any fact of “the hustle”, either education, politics, science, you name it and research it to death, study it deeply, especially the first cause guys, or as you say, “The Father of..” and you will find out these similar patterns… Peter Duesberg + AIDS from Berkely !!!…Idk he orginated from Berkley but it proves my point. Folks can look at my post on education and you will see the same universities acting as a transmission belts for these clowns…Yale, …University of Chicago…Columbia…Harvard ….Johns Hopkins…

      thanks for the support.

my spirit is being moved towards the medical psience hustle at the rockefeller and carnegie foundations and johns hopkins. after daniel coit gilman got the berkeley scam running smoothly with his hire of gilbert lewis he moved on to john hopkins where he hired john shaw billings. billings role was to continue the biometrika movement started by galton, the clown that taught us to say eugenics, and pearson.

billings came up with the idea of punch cards to keep track of the chattel for the us census. his subordinate, herman hollerith, ran with the idea. he eventually turned billing’s notion into ibm we’re told.

if you have some free time read the bios of the founding four doctors that billings hired to run hopkins.

the flexnors and harvey cushing were also in the hopkins, rf, carnegie milieu. check out who cushing’s daughters married.

and if your in the mood for a touching tale about how the rockefeller foundation saved max perutz from adolf and set him up at the cavendish read box 2.

the hustle is narrow but deeeeeeep.

My first cousin ran J Hopkins medical group for several years until forced out by the insurance cartels- As with my brother, a former nuclear engineer, I doubt either would know anything about their particular discipline’s founding fathers beyond what they were indoctrinated with- Just for the record, I would never challenge them on any of this- They are kin before anything else and are no longer in either racket so they get a pass from me- I have no idea what kind of oaths they have sworn over the years- I don’t want to know-

this old-timer’s mourning the good ole days when there were people who called themselves x-ray crystallographers. these talented psientists resolved the structures of things we couldn’t see. they had to prepare samples, shoot ’em with x-rays, infer a bunch a bullshit about the lattice-like periodicity of crystals, solve the phase problem, throw a fourier transform at it, and then apply bragg’s law and so forth. no wonder so many x-ray crystallographers were given nobels.

    www.iucr.org/people/nobel-priz…

but alas, nowadays x-ray and electron diffraction can be done in a computer in seconds. shit, you don’t even need crystals to do crystallography anymore. all you have to do is send your new-age calutron girl to a place like the diamond light source; and tell her put any ole shit in the machine.

the diamond light source was given to us by the uk government and the wellcome trust. go ahead and google the wellcome trust and eugenics.

the old-timer brought up an interesting example of a game-changer in the biological hustle, kary mullis and his pcr technique. kary set the edge of the acceptable aids debate with another berkeley man named duesberg.

henry moseley set the table when he teamed up with charles galton darwin to use x-ray spectroscopy to provide the logic for mendeleev’s dream.
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-ray_…
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosele…

“in a dream i saw a table where all the elements fell into place as required. awakening, i immediately wrote it down on a piece of paper.” -mendeleev

at the tender age of 27 henry got his head blown off in gallipoli during the first great war. that’s how we learned not to send our psientists to the front lines. charles galton darwin would run britain’s national lab during the second great war of course.

they begot jd bernal, who begot max perutz, who begot francis crick. do you see the hustle?
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Pe…

jd bernal wrote the world, the flesh, the devil. in it he said:
“if, as we may well suppose, the colonization of space would have taken place or be taking place while these changes are occuring, it may offer a very convenient solution. mankind- the old mankind- would be left in undisputed possession of the earth, to be regarded by the inhabitants of the celestial spheres with a curious reverence. the world might, in fact, be transformed into a human zoo, a zoo so intelligently managed that its inhabitants are not aware that they are there merely for the purposes of observation and experiment.”

Cavendish- A duke that “died” in action in WWII after marrying a Kennedy deb who then “died” four years later in yet another plane crash (Joe Jr./Kathleen/John Jr. etc.) Ghosts underwriting pseudo science- You don’t want real people having to answer for laboratory explosions- Just move the laundered money to a new grant program-

the wellcome trust claims to be the second-highest spending charitable trust on the plane/planet; just behind bill & melinda i presume. they don’t mind spending that cash on programming.

Wow what a story. Odd that he’d move from the US back to the UK, the land of opportunity? Does the whole story seem contrived and fabricated to you? I like the “born in a log cabin” tribute to Abe Lincoln.
