the Mental Metro Model is a new way to analyze, visualize and contextualize both world history and your own lives.

Mental Metro Models

On Fakeopedia several metro lines are being constructed. These lines connect at certain moments in history, forming line changing stations between the lines you lay in your understanding of world history, stripping away twistory.

The Mental Metro Model applies also to your own lives, as in The Fan, connecting those skills, talents, passions and UTPs that should point you forward towards a more wholesome, i.e. aSHIFT. future.

how does it work ?

the mental metro model is very simple and therefore strong:

  1. Imagine or look at a map of a circular city of your liking, imagine Paris, London, etc.
  2. Identify certain key events, moments, years, anything of importance in a certain field in history.
  3. Lay these events along a TIMEline.
  4. Create other TIMElines based on other characteristics, creating multiple, "differently colored" metrolines, for ease building them from left to right is going forward in TIME, meaning the city expands its metrosystem; the Future, eastward

with this you create a map of essential, crucial, world changing events on those topics that you have studied, have interest in, focus on, etc. Yet connecting, contextualizing, those world events that are important to other TIMElines of others too, making them expanding their metro model lines with your ideas. And vice versa.

what to use the Mental Metro Model for ?

The model is useful for getting insight into complex subjects in a personalized yet familiar to others manner.

On top of that it allows the creator to make lines based on various factors. For instance to assess, analyze, really understand, the history of Environmentalism, BigPetroleum, BigPharma and BigFood, as example, where do you start?

Are "the players" we can identify the lines, or the stations or the station names?

Same for other more complex situations, questions, because they depend on so many others, as metro lines having quite the few changing stations.
