Mannakee’s death attracted no probate, which is very unusual, even in a faked death. All your assets in your former name have to be reassigned. I wonder why.On the night of 15 May 1987, Mannakee was invited for a ride home on the motorbike of fellow cop Steven Peat. Later that night, the fatal crash with the Ford Siesta driven by Nicola Chopp occurred in Woodford, north-east London.
Mannakee died almost instantly after breaking his spine in two places. Peat and Chopp both survived. An inquest into the death concluded it was an accident.That was 30 years ago.

This article has the basic Mannakee crash story, which now looks like a staged event – the unplanned, and highly unusual pillion ride home on a motorcycle of another policeman.
Nicola, who was driving the car which “killed” Mannakee was fined £85 [!] and is now living in South Carolina, married.Steven Peat. Now retired from the police and working as a security consultant, he refuses to discuss the crash. His only public comment was made some years ago when he stated that his friend’s death was an accident “and nothing more”
The motorcycle would have had to be on the wrong side of the road…here’s the inquest transcript from 2008
In carefully crafted statements, Nicola is “suspicious of events that night and all that followed” and “witness” David Whiteford, who was going the other way, turning off the A11 – “I was abosolutely not involved in any conspiracy to cause the crash or subsequently in relation to it. Any suggestion to the contrary is utter nonsense”
[both statements read to the jury, so I suspect they did not attend]This final paragraph is a gem…
If Mannakee was somehow tricked into taking a motorcycle ride home, then Pc Peat must have been part of the conspiracy. But why would Pc Peat risk killing himself? And if he wasn’t part of it, then Nicola Chopp, presumably must have been. If we accept the implausible suggestion that this was the work of the secret service, why would it, in the precision execution of a staged road accident, use a teenage girl who had barely learned to drive? And wouldn’t the highly trained spooks who supposedly planned all this have devised a more certain hit?

Any new hangouts? By chance I picked up an low circulation article by the pilot, [not online] Squadron Leader [retired] Graham Laurie who says he flew the Prince Charles from Aberdeen to Paris on 31st August 1997 and then against protocol brought home a box draped with the Soverign’s flag, contents unknown the same day.
This would seem to debunk the suspected fake story that the plane was at Aberdeen on stand-by – or perhaps not.

I’ve never really looked at it in any great depth, but there was some coverage about Diana’s last words “being revealed 20 years after her death” in several of yesterday’s papers, even though it appears that the Daily Mail and others had published these 11 years ago, when Lord Stevens presented his findings on her death.
What’s notable about the reports though, are the quite varying accounts of Diana’s physical condition at the crash scene.
On the one hand, from the 2006 Daily Mail article:

Sebastien Dorzee, a French policeman, arrived at the scene with a colleague around 12.30am.
“Blood was coming out of her mouth and nose,” he said.
“You could see a deep wound to her forehead… At the same time, she was rubbing her stomach. She must have been in pain.
“She turned her head towards the front of the car, and saw the driver. She became agitated. Then she put her head down again and closed her eyes.”
Minutes later, Diana asked paramedic Xavier Gourmelon: “My God, what’s happened?”

Sergeant Xavier Gourmelon: “I could see she had a slight injury to her right shoulder but, other than that, there was nothing significant. There was no blood on her at all.
“To be honest, I thought she would live. As far as I knew when she was in the ambulance she was alive and I expected her to live. But I found out later she had died in hospital.”
He has rarely spoken about the incident – the last time was via video link during her inquest in 2007 – but twenty years on from the crash the scene is still vividly clear in Gourmelon’s mind.

On that summer night, Mr Mailliez, an emergency doctor, was driving along the Seine river and approaching the tunnel when he saw a smoky accident scene ahead. He stopped and went to investigate.
When he opened a door of the crumpled Mercedes, he saw four people, two of them in cardiac arrest. The other two, including Diana, were still alive.
“They were reacting, but clearly had significant injuries,” the doctor said.
“Significant injuries” or “nothing significant”? “Blood coming out of her mouth” or “no blood on her at all”?
Were all these guys even at the same scene within “minutes” of each other? 🙄

Actually, any half-awake person who watches the above ITN film of the coffin landing at Northolt and being whisked away to a place unknown cannot possibly reach a conclusion that this was a long planned psy-op. Particularly amusing was the plane taxi-ing to the far extremity of the airport, behind a mound and stopping. Perhaps a coffin was loaded inside it.As with all good psy-ops and staged events, you need good English language witnesses on holiday, perhaps a paid-for holiday, and hey presto, you’re away. “I was crossing the street adjacent to the tunnel, and I heard a really long screech and a crash and a really short screech and a crash,” Joanna Luz DaCosta told 10News.
Da Costa ran into the tunnel to help.
“I noticed it was coming from inside the tunnel. So I dropped down.. and I stopped the first car because I looked to my right I saw there was a Mercedes that was faced towards me. I knew it had been had in a crash. I was trying to stop the incoming cars going into the tunnel from hitting the car,” Da Costa said.
And she still keeps the stiped top she wore that day 20 years ago…

Dr John Burton, one of only two people at her post-mortem examination, has kept silent for six years. But today he told the Evening Standard: “I know she was not pregnant and this latest theory was the last straw, the story which loosened my tongue.”
Dr Burton, who attended the examination of the princess and Dodi Fayed at Fulham mortuary on 31 August, 1997, said: “She wasn’t pregnant. I have seen inside her womb.
“The abortion theory was a new one on me. A British coroner recently told me about it and neither of us could believe it. The conspiracy theory suggested that the reason it had taken so long to take Diana’s body from the crash site to the hospital was because she had had an abortion en route to cover up her pregnancy.A great rabbit hole!
“But the truth is that she was involved in a terrible crash and had major surgery. The French authorities did an excellent job.”

November 26 2007Dr Robert Chapman carried out the post-mortem on the same night the Princess died, but could find none of the tell-tale signs of pregnancy, he told the inquest into her death today.
The jury also heard Dr Chapman failed to take a tissue sample from the Princess’s womb as a “more complete” check for pregnancy.

Evidence also emerged today at the High Court that Princess Diana died from chest injuries, namely a one inch laceration to the heart’s pulmonary vein.
She also suffered swelling and bleeding to her brain, fractured ribs, a dislocated right collar bone and a broken arm.
As most of her injuries were to the right hand side of her body, Dr Chapman was able to conclude she had been sitting sideways in her seat during the crash.
Dodi also died from multiple chest injuries.The bodies of Diana and Dodi were both examined by Dr Chapman at Hammersmith and Fulham Mortuary in West London on the evening of August 31, 1997 after being flown back to the UK from Paris.

January 4 2004Michael Burgess saw the broken body of Diana, Princess of Wales, on the day she died. He was in the air-conditioned autopsy room as a pathologist examined Diana’s corpse, hours after the car crash that had killed her. Six years later, Mr Burgess is the coroner poised to open inquests into the deaths of Diana and her companion, Dodi Fayed.
Mr Burgess attended the autopsy on the Princess’s body at the Hammersmith and Fulham mortuary on the night after the crash as deputy to the then royal coroner, Dr John Burton
But he retired in 2002, and at the end of last year it fell to his successor to start proceedings.
Well fancy that! Present in 1997! What luck.
It would have required an act of God-like omniscience and utter foolhardiness by M16, the CIA or whoever – even assuming the motive and will – to have organised an assassination of a beloved public figure in such unpredictable and rapidly changing circumstances.
It’s much easier to organise a fake crash in which nobody dies, you have to admit.

Zsa Zsa Gabor has already been mentioned in this thread, and although, as far as we know, Grandma K. did not date Diana, they did at least rub shoulders, so that places her/him/it in his/her/its Trail of Trannies.
And it is circumstantial evidence, of course.
