    According to multiple media:

“A woman has died and 106 people are injured as people block roads around France to protest against rising fuel taxes.

The 63-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle in the eastern Savoie region, according to an official. The driver of the vehicle had reportedly accelerated in panic after her car was surrounded by protesters.”

“The female protester who died was struck after a driver surrounded by demonstrators panicked and accelerated.”

This story is part of the reportages about a 280.000 drivers protest in France today against a new taxation of fuel.

“The price of diesel, the most commonly used fuel in French cars, has risen by around 23% over the past 12 months to an average of €1.51 (£1.32; $1.71) per litre, its highest point since the early 2000s, AFP news agency reports.

World oil prices did rise before falling back again but the Macron government raised its hydrocarbon tax this year by 7.6 cents per litre on diesel and 3.9 cents on petrol, as part of a campaign for cleaner cars and fuel.”

In my estimation the protests are legitimate as the consumers of automobiles should not pay the price for emmissions, carbontaxes etc. alone. The environmental problematic tells us though, that in the next years the switch to non-carbon automotion is inevitable.

Imo the reports about the protests use manipulative means in order to enhance the conflict and to end the protests using threatening of chaos, injuries and even deaths as a propaganda tool.

Imo unless it will be proven otherwise, i suppose that the reported violence, accidental or other, is part of the aim to fasten up the transition by inciting conflict as pretext for the supression of negotiations about the sharing of the costs of said transition having delegitimized the protesters as “accidental murders” in the public consciousness.

We have been here before in the UK with the delivery of this fuel scare psy-op, back in 2000
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_protests_in_the_United_Kingdom

It was the only stike in recent history which had the tacit encouragement of the people who run the show. Go figure. It may also have been a method of controlling the Blair Government, a shot across the bows, so to speak.
Or it may have been an occasional induced outbreak of mayhem among the caged [fuel buying] rats to see how it turns out, and for the Tavistockers to make their observations.

In a more recent fuel scare psyop, the tanker drivers’ union (TGWU/Unite) showed its true colours; an expendable puppet of Government and Big Oil.

If you recall back to March 2012, the price at the pump had soared to its highest ever (around £1.50/litre). To the point that motorists were cutting back on all but essential spending on fuel. Tanker loads of gasoline were apparently laying stockpiled and unsold outside the refineries (rows of tankers shown at Milford Haven).

That’s when the scare / hysteria started. Cameron was the PM. No.10 announced, clearly with the connivance of the (controlled) TGWU leadership that a tanker drivers’ strike was imminent.

Word to motorists was stockpile as much petrol as possible. Naturally provoking panic-buying at the pumps. The pumps soon ran dry. And soon afterwards, we’re told the strike had been “narrowly averted”. Fancy that! This was another mission accomplished! The stockpiles of fuel were cleared – sold in the panic at the highest ever price!

No doubt with healthy profits from the futures market, where 100 times as many “paper barrels” are bought and sold via derivative instruments, than ever exist, at any one point, in the supply chain.

Another psyop highlighting once again that the ‘opposition’ is controlled. In this case demonstrating that the trade union leadership is just another plaything, batting on the same side as the industry chiefs it professes to hate.

Never thought of that but it is so obvious that the whole fuel stress – which is spreading in the german media also – has to do with the whole currency-oil-war stuff.

I would guess (although im really a total beginner in that field) that the Riad-Tehran-Astana-Block does not even have to produce more in order for it to appear as being in the chain.

    That’s really insane…
