The Chinese opium hoax

The British empire sold a lot of opium to China. The official story about that is that China became hurt by their population turning into useless drug addicts.

I think China fooled the British empire, which was older than the United States, but still like a young child compared to the thousands of years battle tested Chinese power structure. China bought huge amounts of opium from the British empire just as a trick.

Another Chinese trick was to “give” the western world the Art of War by Sun Tzu. The military strategies described in that book were real and effective. The real trick however, which China had learned after thousands of years of war experience, was to make other people and nations fight wars against each other and stay out of the battles oneself.

A third trick China used was to fool the western powers into believing that Japan was an enemy to China. Even today, China and Japan are cooperating behind the public scene.
