This previously [to me] unknown alleged event was highlighted in a gatekeepers’/useful idiots’ pilots’ forum on the certain Emiliano Sala football hoax of 2019.
No bodies were ever found. Hmmmm. Makes one think of the Humboldt Hockey Hoax, in terms of the ages of the alleged deceased. Strangely one of them is called Rumboldt!

It’s more than a black box event, but warning bells must be sounded with the official narrative.
I guess it was a huge media story at the time in Canada

Dubbed the Lost Boys, the teens vanished March 17, 1995, after a night of partying. Video surveillance caught three of them breaking into a marina on Frenchman’s Bay in the very early morning hours. It’s believed the boys stole two boats and went for an ill-fated ride on the cold waters of Lake Ontario, but no one really knows what happened.

A massive search for the boys turned up no sign of them or the boats. All that was found was a gas can * near Wilson, New York, which had been stowed on one of the stolen boats.

“The whole thing just puzzles you,” says Ms. Smith. “You don’t really have closure.”

Each year the boys’ families gather at Frenchman’s Bay to remember 17-year-old Jay Boyle; 18-year-old Chad Smith and 17-year-old Robbie Rumboldt of Pickering; 17-year-old Michael Cummins of Oshawa; 16-year-old Danny Higgins of Ajax; and Jamie [Lefebre, 17 **], who lived in Scarborough.

The families and friends write messages on balloons to their loved ones and lay out flowers on the beach.

Thanks for posting this. This story is very close to home, literally. I swim near this beach. It’s a story that only lives through tributes from distant relatives as you say, a hoax characteristic. I have seen the flowers and ribbons on the beach, none of which further any solution of the case. I don’t know what laws were passed in the “wake” of this event, or if this is simply a case of generating tension and intrigue.
It’s amusing how these hoaxes cross reference each other in so many impossible ways.
