"Tim Truth" on quack "alternative medicine and nutrition"

Unread post by SaiGirl »

Posting this video because I have been listening to “Tim Truth” and subscribing to his channels for several years now.

He’s raising the serious question of research STANDARDS and quality, in the claims that we make, with respect to medical “cures” and practices especially.

He has some sharp criticism of Mike Adams, Dr. Tom Cowan, Amanda Vollmer and other prominent figures.

I like his work because it forces us to rigorously examine some of the poor “research” and fatuous claims (often made without evidence) surrounding things like Ivermectin.

This is the kind of critical discussion we need.
As difficult as it is, we have to confront the issues directly.
Nothing is more important than the self-discipline and toughness we apply to OUR OWN “community”.
It’s about preserving the reputation, integrity and reliability of our own precious “brands”: Fakeology and autohoaxing.

For example:
The original promotion of urine consumption tracks back to some ancient Ayurvedic nutritional practices.
However, the Ayurvedic diet was very narrow and restrictive; nothing like the modern western diet.

The “social suicide” aspect of such foolish or questionable advocacy is something we have to be especially cognizant and cautious about.

We expect to be marginalized and somewhat isolated among “normies” for our general views.
But “Tim Truth” is warning against the ideological “extra baggage” that can needlessly sabotage our efforts.
We cannot afford to be casual about poor research and weak claims.
We need to talk about this stuff and examine it ruthlessly.
