It was always that way. The internet started a military system and I don't think they ever let it grow much beyond their ability to monitor it.

A world apart from the hit numbers that conspiracy videos get. None of the numbers are real though. Youtube is about half of the internet (in traffic) and they are manipulating everything on there to feed people into specific channels
