Confirm this video

So wonderful that the “US Intelligence Community” has confirmed the video is authentic. Can we be a little less specific as to who, how, what and why it was confirmed? Is it because it was on youtube, as Kerry and his State department often likes to reference as sources of intelligence? It’s unverifiable events like this that often trigger much bigger consequences and actions. Now we have “video” – but in the past, we only had “news reports”. I’m not sure we’re much better off now than during WW1 or WW2 when triggers were set off.

17.12 US President Barack Obama is due to give a statement at 5.45pm 12.45pm ET16.40 The White House has confirmed that the James Foley video is authentic. NSC spokesperson Caitlin Hayden said:Quote The US Intelligence Community has analysed the recently released video showing US citizens James Foley and Steven Sotloff. We have reached the judgment that this video is authentic. We will continue to provide updates as they are available.

Perhaps these “US Intelligence Sources” could analyze the 9/11 collapse footage, and tell us if it’s authentic?

Foxed out?

Well, it’s important to examine everything that has to do with actors and causes — so why not the great “Canadian” Michael Fox? Lux speculates:

This video maker thinks he doesn’t and my suspicions are running high. My late brother had the disease and I have a friend who has it. Their symptoms do not at all resemble those displayed by MJF. In fact his rolling eyes and swaying seem downright fake to me. And, where are the telltale tremors?

The touch-the-nose bit @ 4:00 is especially damning here.

As a past right winger (still conservative views), I LOVED Family Ties’ Michael J. Fox character.
