        I almost die from frissons of embarrassment when I look back at this old interview with Sagan, Hawking and Arthur C. Clarke in which Hawking uses that miracle voice-synthesiser machine of his. The one that embodies almost-instant thought-to-voice technology with no plausible data entry, the likes of which have never been seen since, and which Sagan and Clarke sagely sit around pretending is actually REAL.

        It’s all total show biz. And total BS. And Carl Sagan was a willing accomplice to this silly deception, as well as to the big ones like the Moon Hoax.

        On reflection, I think the biggest black hole proven to exist may be the one “Stephen Hawking” pulls his Science out of.
