as far as that coocoo holographic universe theory goes; quantum bull-psience can’t prove anything, except our collective gullibility of course.

Coocoo holographic universe is right, smj.

My big complaint is the way holographic universe people rely on the double split experiment as some sort of proof of a holographic universe, when they don’t understand what the hell it is in the first place.

The double slit experiment is famous because it is supposed to show that light behaves like both a wave and a particle. The basic premise of the double slit experiment is two-fold: #1 Light particles going through the double slit create an interference pattern that the scientists can’t explain with old science. #2 When recorded by equipment, the interference patterns seems to change, sometimes.

Let us first address #2: interference pattern changes when observed

When the very first double slit experiment was done by Thomas Young in 1801 along with several other light passing through holes and slits experiments, Thomas never mentions a change due to being observed in his papers. Only modern day scientists are getting this this change “due to observer”. In addition, the word “observer” does not mean human, it actually means electrical equipment. Are modern day scientists messing up their own double slit experiments with unwanted electrical fields or whatnots? My feeling is, though, that the whole experiment in the firs place is meant to prop up quantum mechanics, so all these experiments don’t even need to be real.

      Addressing #1: unexplainable interference pattern

This feels like a case of dredging the past for an experiment that cannot be explained so that one can then make up their own explanation for it. As I stated before, Thomas Young, the first to do these light experiments, did many other light and color experiments. He was looking to understand the properties of light. He and others were in the process of quantifying the patterns, meaning they were coming up with mathematical formulas to predict the patterns, not explain them.

What about the wave versus particle explanation of light. There are lots of physical experiments that show light as waves, that is what Thomas Young was doing. Experiments that show light as particles, though, seem to be computer models that use the old math formulas from Thomas Young to show you what the experiment should look like. So it appears that these scientists are working backwards. Use the formula to get the picture you want, instead of using the picture to find a formula.

Before you spend one more minute considering the holographic universe, consider what it uses for support and that this is a con game using the most warped science of our day, quantum mechanics.
