You have found something. Not only was the ball hit to David Wright hit with a check-swing instead of a full-swing, you can see the shortstop is playing out of position to let Wright field any ball hit to that side. It is an unusual fielding arrangement. Usually the 3rd baseman guards the line and the shortstop guards the hole between 3rd and 2nd (leaving up the middle open, if the ball gets by the pitcher). The bases were empty yet you can see the shortstop moving away from the play, backpedaling, which of course is not real baseball, with nobody on base the shortstop backs up the play, he doesn’t move towards second. Looks like someone told him to let Wright have the ball.

The pitch was perfect to send a ground ball to the left side, down and away from the hitter, who could simply make contact to send a slow roller to Wright. As perfect as the pitch was for Wright’s homer, this pitch was as perfect for its intended purpose.

There was also an inside-the-park home run in the series which seemed fishy to me, the kind of thing that would be rigged for betting purposes, like “first score a safety” used to be rigged in the Superbowl (that bet is no longer accepted by bookies).

The refs help script games but the main actors are the managers. The players get paid so much that they do anything the manager says. I realized this when the 2013 World Series ended on a pickoff play at first. Something that should have been impossible: the manager for the player on base should have told him not to take his foot off the bag, being down by 2 runs with 2 outs, the manager of the fielder should have told the First Baseman to play 6 feet behind the bag guarding the line to prevent an extra base hit. The only way the pickoff play works with 2 outs in the 9th is for both managers to be working together, reading the same script. The players are like the little yellow minions.

666 can also stand for Veni, Vedi, Vici, Ceaser’s I came, I saw, I conquered
    Vi, Vi, Vi = 666
