John digs up some great quotes.

Here’s one he missed. Advance to 2:00.

Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.

In other words, if you have nothing, you can do anything you want without worrying about consequences.

Interesting. “Freedom” is a feelgood concept that is hard to define unless applied to a specific situation. I am free to do things: to spend, invest, choose a team, buy a vehicle. By itself, without an object, the word has no meaning. It is vague, like “feeling” or “swinging” … feeling what? Swinging at what?

Substitute this: “Free will.” We all have it. We can think what we want to think. We are alive, we have minds. We may not have freedom – prisoners have free will but not freedom. They can beat us, bloody us, take us to the brink of death, and we still have free will. That is why we survive.

Joplin was a set of twins, easy to distunguish. The death was faked. She now resides at Democracy Now! As “Amy Goodman,” a lifetime actor. It is very easy to see unless you are not free and allow others to define what is real for you.
