I work in a war zone – the 401, Canada’s busiest highway. Big trucks, little cars, varying speeds, abilities, all thrown into one big kettle and boiled.
Yesterday we had snow bursts – whiteout conditions of snow that could last from 5 to 30 minutes or more.
It’s frightening how many people don’t slow down when they can’t see – anything at all.
Here’s what looks like real video to me from a passing trucker. For some reason, they love to take on the scene footage of crashes, and I get many from all over Whatsapped to me.
A serious crash between a transport truck and a passenger vehicle has left one person dead. It happened in the off-ramp lane to Highway 8 around 11:30 a.m. Friday, closing the westbound lanes on Highway 401 at Highway 24.
