I found out about this last evening as a relative talked about it looking at his iPad, and all I could think was that this had to be deliberate. Then later I read that they brought in the same guy who supervised the rescue and then salvage of the Costa Concordia in 2012. A reader has been barraging me with information on that recently, and it does look suspicious, another ship relegated to the junkyard, perhaps insurance fraud.

I have to think that with known insurance fraud cases like Titanic or the Twin Towers or Lusitania that the insurance companies are in on the game and that either the payouts are fake or done with full knowledge that the underlying event is a hoax.

Oh well, I’ve been avoiding Costa Concordia, telling the commenter to write it up himself. I guess I know what I will be doing today and tomorrow, hopefully no more than that.

Hyperinflation … ? I’ve been hearing that prediction since the 2008 meltdown, and it does not happen. One of the Montana blogs, a bunch of Frankfurt Schoolers, made that prediction then, and when it did not happen, closed shop. Perhaps they realized it was above their pay grade? The workings of the world economies are far more complex than mere currency floods causing inflation. Inflation is a managed phenomenon, bankers and governments fine tuning things so that we are generally at 1% or so. Prices always edge slightly upward because the opposite, deflation, even slight, leads to pandemonium. So if we do have increased inflation as part of the reset, it is planned and by design. Hang on to your hats.

But nothing surprises me. In economics, everything is beyond my reach. All I know about it is that as a freshman in college I was required to take three quarters of it, and it was like having nails pounded in my forehead, slowly and one by one. None of it penetrated my skull.
