Wow. A stunning podcast.

In my mind, this is one of, if not actually, the most spiritually powerful discussion(s) I have ever heard. It was as if every single aspect of the prevailing zeitgeist was placed under the microscope and observed in detail before being painfully dissected.

Kudos to all the participants with a special mention to Thomas J who endured a torrent from Rick, remained stalwart and then brought in the participants one by one.

All praise to the Heavenly Father as far I am concerned.

Interesting show, lots of big characters. The most interesting one to me was mysterious stranger – he seemed to be saying something new. Dave J is not the best at drawing out what others think, but fair play he did give mysterious a bit of time. Still, I don’t think we really got hear what he wanted to say.

I suggest you ask ab if he would like to do an hour-long show so that you can get to know him better.

AB- It seem “al” wants more of the stranger, maybe you can have him on your weekly show. if anything, it will prove he is just a babbler.

When someone new is on, its fair to give them some time to say what they want. I think you (davej) did that. But, you are mostly interested to see if they have the same views as you or not, whether they have the mind of Christ or not. Well ok… but fakeologist is not a Christian show. Also, despite your pronouncements on people, its not like your judgements of people don’t change (eg Frank, Rick). At one point you ask him something like ‘is the golem story’ but he says no, several times.. but you already ‘know’ it is.… Read more »

Thank you for the book link. To try to clarify, I have read the golem story myself – I know what I think it means. The bit is unclear is why this person’s story is ‘golem story’. I don’t know what interpretation you apply to the story as you didn’t say, and I don’t even know what his story is as he didn’t finish it. For the listener, there is a person starting to say something, a ‘golem story’ label and no explanation of how the 2 relate – we simply don’t have enough information to conclude anything. It’s funny to me that you criticise my use of the word ‘we’. Previously you criticised me for the over-use of the word ‘I’! There’s no pleasing some people! When I used ‘we’, I meant ‘the listeners’ as should have been clear from the context. Any reasonable listener, that does not already ‘know’ as you do, simply does not get enough information to draw a conclusion, imo. Perhaps you had enough information but, if so, you did not explain your reasoning to us (the listeners).
