Examples of some of the noble houses of Europe are the house of
Savoy
Hanover
Habsburg
Medici
Orange
Bourbon
Saxe Coburg
Oldenburg
And others.

The British “house” of Windsor were actually Saxe Coburg Gotha but as they inherit patriarchily, on the death of the queen Prince Phillips house of Oldenburg became the Windsor house.
William and George will continue this line.
