The Meena Plaza hadn’t even been completed before its implosion – probably no windows, no interior fitments, no lifts???

Next tallest? Hudson Dept Store, Detroit, 134m 1998, perhaps a good model for any speculation about WTC.
Contractor- Loiseaux of course.

So it was just lucky that this leap into the unknown worked perfectly on 9/11?
Loiseaux could have claimed a new world record in 2001…

Did it really work perfectly? Mark was saying the only way to CDI a building then and now is for government to indemnify them from claims (forever).

Well, there were no half buildings or leaning buildings left after the smoke had cleared. [as happens in some implosive demolitions of much shorter buildings] which would lead to further claims. Whether they were indemnified or not, the towers came down – a much more impressive a feat than Detroit 3 years earlier.

Agree with that, but how many surrounding buildings were severely damaged? Either way, the payer/Fed paid everyone around the area.

I’m sure Monsieur Loiseaux would have advised….we don’t even know what the plans were for the whole WTC area. Any collateral damage would be acceptable even desirable. Win win.
