The Sicily Yacht ‘Sinking’: An Elaborate Disappearing Act?
Sunday Group With Lynn Ertell And Walter 9-1-24
A new “massacre” narrative from “The New Yorker” – Fakeologist Forums
I suspect smoking is not bad, if you can get 100% tobacco with no additives or pesticides, non-GMO (?).. I quit smoking about 1998, I smoked through the eighties, nineties. I noticed how much more the roll-your-owns’ seemed less addictive.. The problem I had was getting fresh tobacco! Because it gets stale and harsh..unpleasant, so at the end I was smoking menthol’s which seemed fresher. I smoked an American Spirit brand cigarette at a party a few years back and enjoyed it but have not dared to buy a pack. Smoking is cool (?). Basically American rebellion starting in the 50’s is all cool..James Dean, Elvis, up into Led Zeppelin and so on. Then what..? What’s cool now? Vaping? I dunno but I suspect smoking is not necessarily the problem as are so many other things we do now that are just not cool! I seen a group of guys the other day at the woods, older guys, some kind of club and they were all sitting around with long beards and smoking pipes, tobacco I assume. I wanted to inquire but just glanced in admiration as I walked by.
The Elvis phases are quite interesting and eye opening in this talk, though I thought you’d elaborate more on what might have happened to him in the military .. Yeah, you also have to wonder how connected to whatever he actually was .. Maybe these celebrities, most, are at some kind of level up there but not too much so they can be used as real examples for us. I would say the question young people should be asking these days is how can I NOT be famous? Of course Elvis could have opted out like Muhammad Ali.. but then what happened to
Muhammad Ali? Yeah, no thanks, I’ll stay un-famous, don’t even want to be in-famous .. in fact, where are any examples of any famous people that are actually in their right minds and any kind of actual good examples (ha) .. good rebels, real rebels? I can’t think of any. There are a lot of beautiful, cool acting artists and performers but on a personal level I don’t think so. Maybe some of the older celebrities get wise but only later in life, like Eric Clapton or Roger Waters? .. Lynn Ertell?
Thanks for sharing; and people crave these real life stories, experiences from someone not promoting some agenda! ..Thanks, Lynn.
I was born in ’65 and barely remember 1970 but I do remember how people seemed so much more aware.. or at least aware enough to rebel .. and not just by consuming drugs and alcohol .. a quagmire many of us are still in (if we’re even still alive)..rebelling against ourselves more than anything else. Yeah.. rebellion without a cause. What was the Marlon Brando line? Or question to the answer “What have you got?”? Yeah, I just seen the new movie The Bikeriders.. it was in there. Organized rebellion (bikers) but to no good cause I guess, and quickly dissolved, or devolved. Interesting movie .. and may be a good microcosmic view of the real ongoing battles of good and evil .. as evil oh so slowly advances all around us! More than even the average fakeologist seems to realize. – R.
Good show
