Controlled opposition is a general term that has been established in the period after 9/11 out of the various forms of questioning the events and trying to establish an understanding of it. It refers to explanations / interpetations of the 9/11 events which do not disclose the true nature of the events and which are designed presicely for that reason from the operators of the 9/11 psyOp. Interpretations by people that generally might be not accurate and/or unable to determine the true nature of the events - meaning what exactly happended and who is responsible, etc. - are not equal to controlled opposition.
Controlled opposition is an essential integral parameter of the hoax management of 9/11 and every other psyOp, and it is being implemented by professional operatives.
Controlled opposition operatives are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the storyline/s, which explain the events without revealing their true nature. These storylines are designed as derrivatives or alternatives to the main (official) storyline and they are tied to each essential element of the event.
The aim of controlled opposition storylines is to distract from critical observation and analysis of the 9/11 psyop by offering clues for explanations of the event without revealing its true nature.
The alternative explanations - that are the controlled opposition narratives - differ from the main storyline only on specific aspects. These differing aspects are important as they serve as points of retraction from and denial of the main (official) storyline. Retraction and denial are important elements of all psyOp as the designers of psyops do take into consideration, that it is always a real possibility, that enough people realize the deceptive character of the operation and react publicly to it. Alternative explanations aka controlled opposition narratives allow the dispositiv of power to correct its aims and adjust them to the developing situation, because these storylines do not question the concept of psyops as such, but only partial elements of it.
For reasons of understanding we will call the main storyline of each narrative of the 9/11 psyOp a baseline and the designed, implemented and controlled alternative storylines variations. In the case of 9/11 - as in every military psychological operation - the baselines as well as their variations are introduced by clues that are implemented in the main 9/11 audiovisual performance shown on TV and/or other media.
After the main media performance the variations are maintained within the societal spaces and institutions by professional operatives, e.g. media personel, teachers, professors, writers, artists etc., groups of interests and so on.
Any further designed narratives tha may be produced later - which were and still are being produced as part of the 9/11 hoax management in order to support and ensure the main storyline - do obey to the main storyline or to one of the primary variations of the 9/11 audiovisual media performance.

Storyline: Targets and Weapons

North Tower

The attack on the North Tower of the WTC complex was the most crucial element of the 9/11 psyOp. According to the main 9/11 psyOp narrative suddenly out of the blue a pirated plane crashed delebarately into the North Tower. Even in 2001 with all the technological achievements of the mass media it would have been impossible to get a live shot of an incident that happens coincidentally. The first sequence of the TV performance depicted therefore the North Tower after the supposed plane crash showing a images from that Tower with a whole on one side of the depicted building. The first audiovisual sequences of the impact of a plane were shown as declared non-live sequences after appr. 14 hours. Although they did not in fact show a recognizable plane the sequences were propagated as such as they originated in a project of documenting firefighters during work. The film was produced by the Naudet brothers.

WNWTV / Published on Oct 1, 2008 The following features rare WNYW TV videotape of the first hijacked plane attack on the north tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 AM EDT on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Just a few hours later, during its live, continuous on-air coverage of the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, WNYW TV FOX 5 played back this rare videotape of that first WTC crash (it is this first on-air replay of WNYW's rare videotape that we are seeing here).
It is important to note that the WNYW TV portable camera which captured this scene at 8:46 AM EDT was at rest at the time, and was pointed downward toward the street; this was because the portable camera was not relaying live pictures for air on Channel 5 at that moment (in other words, it was only in the process of videotaping and was not in the process of airing anything live). As a result of the camera pointing downward, we HEAR the plane overhead and we HEAR it crash into the World Trade Center's north tower, but we do not SEE the plane itself.

The "attack" on the South Tower of the WTC complex was presented at 09:02 am in the Media Performance through an audiovisual prerecorded film sequence depicting the establishing shot of the scene of Lower Manhattan with the two towers of the WTC.
