Official summary

At 12:30 pm on May 15, 1972, a flask filled with explosives detonated under the passenger seat of Federal Judge Buddenberg's car in front of his house. The bomb was attached with magnets under the floor panel, a cable connected their detonator with the starter of the car Buddenberg's wife Gerta triggered the explosion when starting the car and was seriously injured. The passenger seat was torn apart, the sunroof of the car thrown meter-wide. A passenger would definitely have been killed. But Buddenberg had gone to work on foot that morning and had not let his wife drive him as usual. That saved his life.
