Army doctor Major David Cooper and aircrew paramedic Tom Waters were on duty with Midlands Air Ambulance when they were called to the theme park after a collision between two trains on the Smiler ride which left four people seriously injured.
Dr Ben Clark, a volunteer with North Staffordshire BASICS emergency doctors, was also part of the emergency response team.
The three men broke regulation and protocol when they realised how serious Leah’s injuries were. At a height of 35 to 40 feet, they managed to stem the life-threatening bleeding which she was suffering from, saving her life in the process.
They spent four hours seeing to the most injured victims, not coming down from the ride until the victims were freed.
The medical team were reunited with Leah last month, when she said she couldn’t thank them enough for what they’d done.
The three will receive their awards next week at the ceremony, hosted by Carol Vorderman and with David Cameron and Prince Charles also taking part.
Squeezing in a cheeky “photobomb” of Becks and Dr Ben Clarke, one of the Smiler heroes; caught in a “surprise” snap, stuffing a sausage roll into his cake-hole. All so impromptu, it must only add to the credibility of the theatrics.
And aren’t they growing fond of doing that ‘Watching Them Watching Us’ photosloppery? Where a picture on a phone supposedly captures the very same subject as the main “camera”. Albeit adjusted for the appropriate angle. Bolstering the credibility of the main faux-to. All very clever indeed.
September 29, 2015 at 2:42 pm #420010Terran DownvaleParticipantWow, that photo is a regular “hall of mirrors” mess! The viewfinder shenanigans are once again similar to what we saw in Lesta’s Hebdo “green screen” crowd. Have you seen Jon Brown’s videos on the event? He kept on using the phrase “not a sausage” in the following video and I commented on it. Could Clarke’s cheeky meal be an in-joke?

Plastic smiling UK fashion designer Gareth Pugh is a “genius of duality” who seems to specialize in Masonic designs that “struggle between light and darkness.”

He’s also quite quotable.
And take a look at what happened to hit the catwalk back in February a few months before The Smiler accident: http://www.dezeen.com/2015/03/19/philipp-plein-aw15-catwalk-roller-coaster-milan-fashion-week/

Sure, there was certainly a presence at this event! We’re told the entire fleet of all three Midland Air Ambulances was in attendance. In addition to a chopper borrowed from the Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance Service. An unprecedented number of helicopters for one incident, supposedly involving sixteen injured, four seriously.
From: http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/alton-towers-smiler-victim-speaks-9387867 [n.b. one video now removed]
These high-profile events – and the subsequent award ceremonies promoting them all over again – must be effective fundraisers for the air ambulance charities.
Why, though, the ongoing hate-fest against Alton Towers and owners Merlin Entertainment? Is there a hedge-fund short-selling the stock for profit? Maintaining The Smiler psyop in the headlines is causing ongoing damage to the company, but possibly reaping great profit for speculators.
And/or maybe there are financiers – perhaps the owners of a rival amusement park operator – using the psyop as leverage in a hostile take-over bid for Merlin. With the reputational damage from the psyop driving down the cost of acquisition?
Some people are certainly gauging the economic effect of the alleged incident. There was a BBC Radio 4 You and Yours report on 17 Sept, documenting the knock-on effect the accident has had on the tourist trade in and around Alton Towers. Maybe that report was a tempered voice from within, pointing to the collateral damage being caused; and a plea for time to be called on the psyop?
From the BBC R4 You And Yours bulletin (towards the end):
In June, Alton Towers hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons when a roller coaster accident seriously injured five people. Ticket sales have fallen, but it’s not just Alton Towers itself that’s been affected. Businesses nearby are reporting a drop in sales too. An expert on theme parks considers the future of Alton Towers and the effect the accident has had on the wider industry.

….or perhaps for more compensation for the blowback – “unintended consequences” – from the drill.
The Birmingham Mail video [i.e. Mirror video – amazing how these psy-op videos always get shared around by the MSM] is an excellent example of serial drill-speak from our “wonderful” emergency services.I don’t think it’s a question of silence being bought, however.
Good find, that You & Yours discussion.- This reply was modified 8 years, 6 months ago by xileffilex.

September 30, 2015 at 6:33 pm #421076xileffilexParticipantThis chap had been an Air Ambulance pilot:
who apparently crashed in January 2013 next to a redevelopment site
very close to the MI6 building in London UK.Perhaps many of the invidents the air ambulance charities attend are staged drills? This one looks pretty fake:
http://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/air-ambulance-called-to-crash-39124/In 1998 one of the Kent Air Ambulances crashed into powerlines, apparently
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/139680.stm
As one always seems to be asking in these events, where did the rest of the helicopter go?
http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent/news/happy-birthday-to-the-kent-air-a-a89859/
December 23 2009Tragedy struck in July 1998 when the air ambulance crashed in a field near Burham, killing pilot Graham Budden, 40 and paramedics Mark Darby, 37, and Tony Richardson, 47.
Amid an enormous wave of public sympathy, donations began pouring in, and the service was able to resume just five weeks later when a new helicopter bearing the initials GMT – for Graham, Mark and Tony – took to the skies. And the monument:
And here’s one from Iowa in 2013
Again not much helicopter.

For anyone that gets a little peckish on the night, there will also be a Pie & Pea supper and an Ice Cream cart on offer!
They’re Justified and they’re Ancient
And they drive an ice cream van…It’s official. The Kent-based company KLF that funded the ill-fated Alton Towers rival Britannia Park that finally closed its gates in 1985, reformed as a Discordian prank band two years later. And after teaming up with Tammy Wynette Pugh in 1991, they finally had their Pugh-assisted revenge 24 years later in 2015! Just kidding, of course. Or am I??? It seems we live in a silly Discordian prank-filled world judging from all the hoaxes. Relevant links again:

Nobody saw the actual crash.
Much of the wreckage was found to have been subjected to intense ground firevand reduced to ash or re-solidified molten metal.
…except of course the immaculate intact piece, naturally identfying it as part of an air ambulance, which the busy-doing-nothng men in white suits are “examining”.

The High Court has ruled the aircraft suffered mechanical failure and that Mr Budden, 40, was not to blame.
Linda Budden, from Surrey, brought the civil action after her husband’s employers denied liability.
The amount of compensation to be paid by the Police Aviation Services [Ltd], Mr Budden’s employers, will be set in the future. I’m somewhat confused because Police Aviation Services was only incorporated in 2001, although the website of Specialist Aviation Services indicate activity since 1984

the directors of SAS at the time included Mark Trumble ** who apparently survived this 1983 crash which killed two [unnamed as far as I can see] passengers while filming a small tanker, the MV Zussow.Click to access Aerospatiale_AS350B_Squirrel_G-MAHO_04-83.pdf

The ship is more accurately described as the MS “Züssow”, launched 1972 at VEB Elbewerft Boizenburg, of the East German DSR Lines! Well well well.Probate was only granted in 2002, nearly four years later.
Linda now known as Linda Combe. Mr Combe, Iain J Combe, leaves no trace in BMD records.

In 1984 PAS consisted of Mark Trumble, Paul Hannant and Steve Bidmead, three ex-militar pilots trading exclusively in the support of police aviation mainly using leased helicopters, an operating both the pilot and maintenance contracts for Devon and Cornwall’s helicopter. The
company grew and was eventually taken over by others and each of the partners moved on.

September 2005For many years many in the USA were under the false impression that such as Police Aviation Services, a commercial
company, was a Government agency controlling UK police aviation. It was simply a fortuitous choice in company name.
