Sky News host James Morrow says apparently, koalas are a “bit more expendable now,” with 1450 hectares of koala habitat needing to be destroyed for the Queensland Clarke Creek Wind Farm.
Mr Morrow spoke with Nationals MP Keith Pitt about the matter.
“Everything’s about wind and solar and protecting koalas unless you’re going to get rid of koalas,” Mr Pitt said.
“And I’ve got to give credit to Michelle Landry. She broke the story a couple of months ago.
“1450 hectares – I went and read the environmental management plan, and it literally says 1450 hectares odd of koala habitat has to be destroyed in order to build the Clarke Creek Wind Farm.
“So all projects are equal except some are more equal than others.”
