We live in a world of lies and liars.

But not all lies are created equal.
Some are more cleverly constructed than others.
More plausible, credible, believable.
And the same goes for the liars who espouse or promote those lies.

Accepting this reality in life, is part of the process of becoming mature and realistic.

However, that doesn't mean we should be expected to embrace OBVIOUSLY stupid lies that are logically incoherent, physically impossible or insulting to our intelligence.

We shouldn't be expected to live with lies that intuitively insult our intelligence.

That can only spread in a society where an increasing share of the population has been dumbed down and rendered so stupid, that they will easily and willingly accept stupid and implausible lies.

Or preferably, among people who know these are stupid lies, but must pretend to believe them, because this is what authority and society demand of them.

And that, in a nutshell is our problem.
