Steve's point is that they indeed are the same shoes and someone/something has deliberately cherrypicked screenshots to make them appear different. This was then deliberately quickly injected into the online morass to evoke reaction, emotions, and attention.

It is obvious, if you look at the various images of the shoes, that they are not the same shoes. It's kind of hard to believe that people are taking calcifiedlies' video as a legitimate observation.

The "different shoes" worn by the gunperson was obvious TRUTHER BAIT. This allows the MSM to "debunk" the conspiracy theorists.
