India Train Crash (Odisha)

Unread post by PotatoFieldsForever »

First, I know that it is India but the news took a long time to arrive, somehow it is 3/6 news even though the train collided at 7 pm local time (13:30 GMT) yesterday.

I did not found yet strong evidence that people died or were injured, it looks like a set.

What lead me to check this story in the first place was the picture on my local news website

In the legend you can read "le 31/1 juin 2023", which could be a honest mistake or a wink for those in the know. I also saw on other websites report of 233 dead, now it is 288 and that number could change later.

There is already a wiki page:

also 3/6 (666?)

I found more graphic footage of the event:

Still I find the coverage of this event a bit odd.

Agreed, I'm always suspect of drone footage. But the video is likely all from passengers who were stuck there.
