What makes me think there might be a drop behind those boards, they run parallel to the windows, so if there was a room the other side, you've cut off all your natural light. You wouldn't set it up that way to have the space behind usable. Unless, the boards have been put up to hide the fact it is a ledge and a drop; and also for health and safety reasons for this shoot, most of the people pictured, who are not part of the E-team, not having a clue what's the other side.
