Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!
(Warner Bros 2022 animated film by Audie Harrison)
-
The brand new movie “Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!” show Scooby Doo member Velma Dinkley googly-eyed and speechless when encountering costume designer Coco Diablo.

It’s long been an open secret among fans and “Scooby-Doo” creatives that Velma is gay. Even James Gunn, who wrote the early live-action films have confirmed the character’s sexuality, but they were never able to make it official onscreen.

" In 2001 Velma was explicitly gay in my initial script. But the studio just kept watering it down & watering it down, becoming ambiguous, then nothing & finally having a boyfriend. ”

Wendy
Fox 2020 movie by B&E Zeitlin
-
For the last century, the story of Peter Pan was simple: Three children with thriving imaginations, led by a precocious Wendy, are stuck in a less-than-ideal home life — circumstances that pushed being “realistic” and “grown-up” over simply being a kid. Then comes our hero, Peter.

However, Peter, in his various iterations — like in the 1953 Disney classic and even the 1991 Steven Spielberg-helmed reimagining Hook, with Robin Williams — has also been a bit of a jerk. He’s passive-aggressive to women (the animated film features Peter saying girls “talk too much”). He treats Native Americans as animals, or “red men.” And, well, he’s always white.

Image

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It’s significant that this will be the first Peter Pan of color in a major movie release. How much did that weigh on you while you were filming Yashua?

BENH ZEITLIN: You’re aware that it’s a radical departure from the history of the story. Radically dismantling the history of the story was a huge reason why we wanted to tell it. His character and the story has been so important to me. But you look back at iterations of it and they’re wildly sexist. They’re wildly racist, the way they portrayed Native Americans, usually.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson from the 2014 movie as the Greek God Hercules (Imdb)
-
Over the weekend, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter to clear up any and all misconceptions about how he views himself. The matter grew out of a discussion about how Johnson was “presented” in his early days with WWE.

A Twitter user claimed that Johnson “was never booked, proclaimed, or titled as First [sic] black champion,” and Johnson quickly shut that down.

“Glad I came across this and I’ll give you guys some context & truth,” he began his tweet with. “I identify as exactly what I am – both. Equally proud. Black/Samoan.”

Part of the woke agenda in Hollywood is very explicit, and appears to be a result from hard LGBT lobbying. The controversy around many of the films and TV series mentioned in this thread seems wanted. In some of these cases we witness staged promotion of the gender and race topic in the form of tension around a film which inevitably raises public curiosity and - in some cases - their interest.
-
However, as much as Hollywood pretends to be about money, as much as Hollywood pretend to be influenced by minority lobbies - the reality is that Hollywood is only about propaganda and influencing public imagination.
-
There is no lack of money because the banks are bankrolling Hollywood at their will. When select US banks are in charge of the american money supply, money has no other cost than inflation.
-
No lobby is strong enough to make Hollywood bend, especially not a lobby fully created, funded and run by intelligence services in the first place. And we may indeed ask ourselves if military operations, intelligence agencies and Hollywood policy are not one and the same thing. As an example, 911 well illustrates these tree factions all working together seamlessly on the same project - back with JFK as well.
-
Regarding the Woke movement in Hollywood, there is clearly a policy in place to encourage deviant sexual behaviour and race mixing since a long time back. And some of their policy isn't as clear cut as many recent examples will illustrate.
-
The myth of the greek good Hercules for instance is by definition of European origin, and its main characters likewise. It is probably a motivation for Hollywood to destroy the European attachment to such figures, and casting a self identified black man* - the Rock - in this role introduces the race swap agenda rather seamlessly because the public does not clearly identify* Dwayne Johnson as a Person of Colour (POC).
-
In the very vocal opposition to the Woke agenda in Hollywood, there is no mention of the 2014 Hercules film with a lead black/samoan actor. Nevertheless, the idea of casting The Rock seems the same to me, and when we see that the writer of the film is Ryan Condall who last year race swapped the Valerion family in House of Dragon. Its hard not to see* the pattern.

* Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson confirms he identifies as both Black and Samoan (
article here
)
* Is Dwayne Johnson Black? Hollywood Doesn’t Seem to Think So (article here)
* the casting in Hercules is not shocking, and Johnson is a muscle powerhouse that does fit the role. However, Hollywood clearly uses Johnson just the same way blind black artists were used before him - as gentle steps in a more radical agenda

The Little Mermaid (2023)

Disney announced a race-swapped version of Ariel for their upcoming “live-action reimagining" of The Little Mermaid.

Actress Halle Bailey was announced to star in The Little Mermaid from director Rob Marshall.

MARSHALL: “After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role.”

According to Variety, Bailey has never starred in a feature film before.

Black Adam (2022)
Warner Bros superhero film by Jaume Collet-Serra

I’ll be honest: initially I did a double take. But after a moment’s surprise, I just shrugged. Hey, why not make Hawkman black?

Image

Yes, okay, the reason he’s dark-skinned in this story is because in the Black Adam movie the character is going to be portrayed by African American actor Aldis Hodge. But, honestly, think about it for half a minute. Hawkman is the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian monarch Prince Khufu

"Woke (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK) is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination".[1][2] Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as sexism, and has also been used as shorthand for American Left ideas involving identity politics and social justice, such as the notion of white privilege and slavery reparations for African Americans."

I'm sorry if it seems like hi-hacking the thread but honestly, this is a very connected topic: Fakery is a thread that connects ALL the narratives imho. The point is there are often reinforcements within one area to support another aspect. Wokery is one- only one- facet of 'Communitarianism' .

For myself, it helps to see the interconnectedness of the process- and I'm convinced that the intention from whoever/whatever is directing stuff is multi-faceted: That's why this is a clear example of what's continually being pumped out to shape social changes, the Fabian nudge-nudge process...

So this movie- has so much embedded cleverly in it. I'd be interested in your take on it (in the broader Hollywood media/society scene)

The narration by Brie Larsen is unchanged btw

As mentioned in the YT video on the race swapping in the "Black Adam" film, it is not only the DC Comics figure Hawkman that is altered according to Hollywoods DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) agenda, but also the main character himself - Black Adam (wiki).
-

-
From the post on 2014 movie Hercules (here) its likely Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a very popular actor not only because of his physique and public appeal, but also for his mild form of blackness with his black-samoan background and identity.
-
The public hostility to Hollywood's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda is quite significant and spontaneous, and despite a very concerted effort by the mainstream media (MSM) to contain dissent, the publics spontaneous reaction is very negative when established characters are altered in very obvious manner. This means that Hollywood often goes about their diversity agenda with zeal as they try to choose soft ethnical features for many race swapped characters, especially if the character is a lead as is the case for "The Rock" Johnson in Black Adam.
-
Its also quite helpful of course that the DC Comics title for the Black Adam character can be mistaken for describing an ethic origin, which is not the case at all as the original Teth/Theo-Adam, is an antihero created by Otto Binder and CC Beck for Fawcett Comics originally in December 1945.

Just by the Wikipedia definition and etymology (here) of the word "woke", its apparent imo that this word/expression is contrived.
-
The idea of the word "woke" is very much in line with the vindications made by the alphabet (LGBT+) agenda proponents - white men from the right stealing from the poor BIPOC* minorities who are right to claim retribution from the (white) majority...
-
The trick here is of course planning ahead, and looking at the LGBT+ agenda its clear its not new and rather a bit older than the popularisation and use of the expression "woke". According to experts, the word "woke" in its current understanding was introduced as late as 2008 by singer Erykah* Badu.
-
In 1971, the phrase was used in a play by American playwright Barry Beckham titled Garvey Lives!, in which he wrote: “I been sleeping all my life. And now that Mr Garvey done woke me up, I’m gon’ stay woke. And I’m gon’ help him wake up other black folk.”

It also entered popular culture thanks to singer Erykah Badu, who used the phrase “I stay woke” in her 2008 song Master Teacher. David Stovall, a professor of African-American studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago, told the New York Times that Ms Badu’s use of the phrase meant “not being placated, not being anaesthetised”.

Image

It started becoming a politicised word in 2014, after the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, sparked the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.

Linguist Tony Thorne, The Independent
-
When a political movement is used to influence the general population in favour of Elite agenda's the language and words used are of importance, just as much as images, sound and other media/supports that are part in the overall campaign. On a whole, the basic strategy for the LGBT movement is not much different than the policy laid out by Kirk and Madsen in their book "After the Ball" where they outline "How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the '90s".
-
“So far, gay Hollywood has provided our best covert weapon in the battle to desensitize the mainstream. Bit by bit over the past ten years, gay characters and gay themes have been introduced into TV programs and films . . . On the whole the impact has been encouraging.”

"A media campaign that casts gays as society’s victims and encourages straights to be their protectors must make it easier for those to respond to assert and explain their new protectiveness. Few straight women, and even fewer straight men, will want to defend homosexuality boldly as such... Our campaign should not demand direct support for homosexual practices, [but] should instead take anti-discrimination as its theme. "

The Overhauling of Straight America
-
When it comes to "communitarianism" its a term that can be interpreted in various ways, maybe you (@nickw) can explain more how you see the woke/wokery movement works in what type of a larger social agenda ? Whats difficult for me is the fact that we all merely guess about the motivation behind the many Elite agendas as well as their goals.
-
A very common mistake in the alternative media is to consider World depopulation as an Elite goal whereas nothing could be further from the truth - more people, more power.
-
Image

* BIPOC stands for "black, indigenous, and other people of color", also often used is just POC which is "person of color" (wiki)
* the artist Erykah Badu has a name that rhymes very closely with Amerika - Hello, I'm Erykah...

Peter Pan & Wendy (2023)
(Disney+ live-action adaptation by David Lowery)
-
" Disney continues to make strides in diversifying its classic characters and is doing it again as sources tell Deadline that Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi is set to play Tinker Bell in David Lowery’s Peter Pan and Wendy. This would mark the first time a person of color has filled the role that traditionally has featured a white actress and follows in the footsteps after Disney set Halle Bailey to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid. "

J Kroll, Deadline

" Casting updates on IMDB appear to show that The Walt Disney Company will be gender and race swapping a number of the Lost Boys in their upcoming live action Peter Pan & Wendy film, which is adapted from J.M. Barrie’s classic story. "

Image

" According to IMDB, the twins will be played by Skyler Yates and Kelsey Yates. It also appears that Cubby will revert to his original name from Barrie’s story, which is Curly, but the character will be played by actress Florence Bensberg. Along with these gender swaps, there will also be a number of race swaps. The aforementioned twins have been race swapped. Tootles will also be race swapped. He will be played by Caelan Edie. "

Re: Woke Hollywood DEI agenda

The wokeness agenda at Disney is becoming so extensive that many "woke" changes no longer seems to be noticed.
-
From the 2020 film Wendy we already have an example of Disney race swapping Peter Pan into a black boy. At the time, the film was not openly presented as a Peter Pan movie which is why the film title omits the Peter Pan name altogether. However, it was indeed a first initiative to change Peter Pan and his lost boys which we can see hereover from the coming live-action adaptation of "Peter Pan & Wendy".
-
What is most striking at first sight in the coming Peter Pan movie, is how the lost boys have been both race and gender swapped. And you the have to add how Disney have transformed one of the whitest comic book figures ever - tinkerbell - into a black girl... Hard to not see the wokeness at play - its so evident its blinding.
-
With all these changes - a little bit like with Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam - nobody seems to even notice or discuss the gentle race swap that has been made to Peter Pan himself who now is some shade of brown - we have no information about the background of Alexander Molony who stars as Peter Pan in the coming Disney feature film.
-
What is certain is that Peter Pan no longer is caucasian, possibly some variation of Indian or Iranian as the actor is born in the UK but his parentage is left void. Quite curious with such an openly inclusive cast where everyone are openly proud and multi-cultured.
