Maynard Ferguson Big Band live in London 1970. Don Ellis played in Maynard's band for most of 1959. Maynard and his wife Flo were close friends of Timothy Leary. Leary was a fan of Maynard's and had met him at one of his Boston area club shows when he was a professor at Harvard. In fact, the very first time Leary dropped acid was at Maynard and Flo Ferguson's house. Later on the entire Maynard Ferguson family were part of the residents of Milbrook, https://www.timesunion.com/projects/202 ... thy-leary/ the experimental psychedelic community founded by Leary and Ralph Metzner. Up until May of 1966 LSD was fully legal, whereas possession of Marijuana, even just a single joint, was a felony offense until 1970! lol Welcome to the land of the "slave" that never was "free" in any sense whatever in the first place.

Performed Live for a TV special recorded in London in 1970.
Ultra energetic MF with a 1970 "modern" feel, at his Grooviest!
