I think part of the reason they retired Jobs was because they got the system in place under him, the iPhone and the iPad, and the ecosystem was finished. By getting rid of him when they did, it gives an excuse why they have nothing new to offer with regards to upgrades.

Agree - and if you look at this from another angle you might ask the question where lifetime actor Jobs was needed next ? Such a gifted person is hard to find - especially the (well... seemingly) natural appeal to a large public.

Indeed - just as Apple is employing its TV production in a completely "woke" and identity-righteous manner, so it the company a living rainbow gender rich entity built on green values,,, The Adam/Eve/Apple headquarter is rather like a spaceship too (an Ark?) with a design so minimalistic its borderline inhuman. Built for plants maybe? Humans are so polluting and sexually repulsive...
