About a week ago Fakeologist put up this post on his blog — A white Boogieman? — asking "Anyone know any ex-truthers?"

Well, while looking for something else entirely, I found someone who apparently fits. And it appears to include a bit of an interesting backstory stretching back to the Occupy Movement. I have a feeling it might produce some reveals about the current eco-terrorism in the form of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil.


So let's start here, 24 February 2021, COVID lockdown and vaccines.

COVID PASSPORTS? GUESS I'M STAYING ON THE ISLAND



This is Charles Veitch, he films random stuff on the streets of Manchester, England. The first time I saw a video of his was during the COVID lockdowns, I'm guessing I must have got the link via a UK Discord channel I was following for general UK updates.

I watched some of Charlie's videos, but I soon tired of him. Some things I found out about him; I guess firstly, he was talking about COVID on youtube, and he still had a channel. It was created on 19 Jul 2006, and the claim on the front page is there are 2K videos. That would be some loss for that channel to be arbitrarily deleted for mentioning the vaccine an a disparaging way. And secondly, a lot of his videos are him hanging around police, and he's got a tone about him, like he's untouchable. Curious.

Now, I didn't know anything about the back story of Charles Veitch, but while doing a search for Danny Shine videos I was served up this video from 19 Dec 2019; so 'before COVID'.


THE FALSE ENLIGHTENMENT OF DANNY SHINE

In this video Charlie tells us he no longer thinks 911 was an inside job...I'll return to this in a later post. But this is where I find out Charlie did a double-act with Danny Shine for around 11 months, though in another video referenced, Danny says it was only a couple of months. Anyway, Charlie tells us in the above video, "I met Danny on May 1st 2009...London G20 stuff going on...he had a sign saying 'Everything is OK', I have a megaphone making false public statements...there was a fusion."

So we have Danny and Charlie as a team for a bit. What I find noteworthy is at the 8 minute mark, Charlie then goes on to tell us the partnership produced, the 'Love Police Official Movie', which I guess was a documentary of them megaphoning at a Occupy movement type protest; but interestingly, he states the German government funded it...that would be Angela Merkel's government.

Something the PM forgot to mention: if you apply for a passport, or renew one, you will be registered on the national identity database

"And so, conference, I can say to you today: in the next parliament, there will be no compulsory ID cards for British citizens."

Gordon Brown's promise not to make identity cards compulsory for British citizens during the next parliament really should have read that they will be compulsory only if you want to leave the country or legally drive a car.

This is because every British citizen who renews or applies for a new passport will automatically be registered on the national identity database anyway.

This was made clear in June, when the new home secretary, Alan Johnson, completed his review of the future of the £4.9bn ID cards project by saying that Labour would not introduce legislation after the next general election making the scheme compulsory.

That was widely misreported as "Johnson drops ID cards". But his review left all the main elements of the national identity card scheme in place.

As critics pointed out at the time, the automatic inclusion on the national identity register of the details of anybody who renewed their passport – or, for that matter, their driving licence – amounted to introducing a compulsory identity card scheme by the back door.

There is no need for a new bill in parliament after the next election to allow MPs to vote on whether the scheme should become compulsory because the Home Office already plans to use obscure secondary legislation to introduce what they call a "designation order".

This will make passports, and possibly driving licences, "designated" documents under the terms of the 2006 Identity Cards Act and provide the legal authority to include the details of anyone applying for or renewing their passport on to the ID cards database. This is currently planned to come into effect from 2011.

Brown is right to say the ID card will not be compulsory for everybody during the next parliament, but it will in effect be so for the 80% of the population who hold a passport to leave the country.

James Hall, the chief executive of the Identity and Passport Service, has told me that is incorrect. He says you can leave the country without a passport; you just won't be able to get back in again when you come home.

Gordon Brown's promise to reduce the amount of information everyone will have to give for the new biometric passport to no more than what is on the current passport is a curious one. The Home Office has long dismissed claims that the combined biometric passport/ID card would have any additional information, such as criminal record, religion or other sensitive personal data. It has always maintained the new passport would contain no more than the personal details on the current one.

Before continuing, this isn't a hit piece on Charlie Veitch and Danny Shine, though I'm suspecting it might end up appearing that way. I don't know these two people, but they have a certain type of notoriety in the UK. On face value they seem to be on the side of the public, and yet the subtext of the previous False Enlightenment video is during the Occupy movement days, they travelled internationally on the back of globalist government funding. I'm actually more interested in the well established claim that Occupy was having significant impact, the globalists made it their goal to subvert this movement into the eco-terrorist lobby of Extinction Rebellion, and now Just Stop Oil.

I note a tell in what Charlie was saying and what he does, there was some sort of attachment to government with what the Love Police did. So it's more about what we can gleam regarding the funding model. Likely laundered through the European Union, the institution governments send tax money to be lost down the back of a settee. And in my view, the main point of its existence, to place it above national accounting and freedom of information, and to make sure the people running the show are above national laws...Let's look at what Full Fact has to say about EU auditing.

IS THE EU’S BUDGET ‘SIGNED OFF’ BY AUDITORS?

What Was Claimed:
The EU’s accounts haven’t been signed off for years.

Auditors say the accounts have been accurate since 2007. But they have historically recorded significant errors in how money is paid since their first audit in 1995. In the most recent year, they found a significant part of the EU’s spending was largely error-free for the first time.

Two Opinions, Not One
The European Court of Auditors checks the EU’s accounts and delivers verdicts on them annually. It actually gives two different opinions on them: whether they’re accurate and reliable, and to what extent there’s evidence that money is being received or paid in error.

The auditors give a clean opinion on the accuracy and reliability of the accounts when they present a true and fair view of the EU’s finances and follow the rules of financial reporting. This has been the case since 2007.

If they’re mostly fine, but have some problems, the auditors give a qualified opinion. This was the case before 2007. If they have extensive problems, they give an adverse opinion on the reliability of the accounts. This has never happened.

The same opinions are delivered on the ‘regularity’ of the accounts— mainly whether the payments are free from significant errors. Until 2016, the Court of Auditors had always given an adverse opinion on this ever since it started giving opinions in 1995.

However, the most recent report gives a qualified opinion that “A significant part of the 2016 expenditure audited was not affected by a material level of error”.

Back to the False Enlightenment video, Charlie is still a little confused and upset about why Danny decided to end their double-act, and more than that, Danny, as we will see in another video, totally distances himself from Charlie. Again, this is not about personal relationships, I'm more interested in business relationships, and if you happen to stumble upon this, Charlie, I don't think it was anything personal.

So, this is the statement video mentioned, I haven't actually watched more than a couple of words, I include it more for completeness, and to show Charlie isn't making it up. The video was made 8 September 2009, the current PM was Gordon Brown, Tony Blair leaving office on 27 June 2007. Now I notice, Charlie says he met Danny on May 1st, 2009, and the breakup video was September 8th of the same year. That's not 11 months, Charlie, that's three months, and in line with the time span Danny claims in another video.

Yet could it be that the 11 months is a factual statement by Charlie and it relates to something? If we think these to people are not organic arseholes who just happened to meet on the streets of London at a totally spontaneous G20 protest. That they didn't just hit it off and gel and do some of megaphone rap, but rather there was some sort of tendering, bids, job interviews, contracts, signing off of what was to be performed, and rehearsals. You know, like any other government funded production...likely part of the same churn, this XR production from the 18th August 2019. These are the dickheads your tax money are funding, or does anyone think they reach into their own pockets for the choreographers, the cameramen and editors, the costumes, the makeup, the transport to and from the locations, the food eaten during breaks in filming, and every other carbon-based resource used to create this piece of propaganda produced by these lying hypocrites? No, it's all TAX funded.

Only balloon-head people in cities like Liverpool voted to positively green light the corruption. It's almost like democracy doesn't actually exist.

LIVERPOOL MAYOR JOE ANDERSON ARRESTED IN BRIBERY PROBE
4 December 2020

Liverpool's mayor Joe Anderson has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation.

He and four others were held as part of an investigation into the awarding of building contracts in the city.

It is understood the Labour Party has suspended Mr Anderson pending the outcome of the case.

The year-long police probe, Operation Aloft, has focussed on a number of property developers.

Liverpool City Council said it was co-operating with Merseyside Police.

A police statement said those arrested include two men, 33 and 62, both from Liverpool, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation...

But getting back to Charlie and Danny, I'm going to put up another reference in the False Enlightenment video, I think this one is one of the actual reasons Charlie made his video on the 19th December 2019. The point, someone posts up Charlie giving a statement to a BBC reporter that is inconsistent to his youtube persona with a link to his acting showreel page. Then when looking at the video obtained by the Guardian, we see what Charlie says as an eyewitness does not match video evidence. But then we have the Guardian narrator trying to portray something that does not match the video footage, nor Charlie's statement. And all this happened on 1 April 2009. Right.


VIDEO OF POLICE ASSAULT ON IAN TOMLINSON, WHO DIED AT THE LONDON G20 PROTEST

The Guardian obtained this footage of Ian Tomlinson at a G20 protest in London shortly before he died. It shows Tomlinson, who was not part of the demonstration, being assaulted from behind and pushed to the ground by baton-wielding police

Interestingly, from the Guardian page it includes the youtube link so people can embed and share and become outraged by the police. Question: Does this look like a guy who is just about to drop dead as he walks out of shot?

And given that the cameraman is right there, why didn't he just turn the camera and film Ian Tomlinson when he fell to the ground for a second time? I mean this time he didn't get up, so he would have been there a lot longer. Surely that would have been royalties gold? But that film doesn't exist...so we can conclude it's because the next part is completely fabricated, and this will explain the wild inconsistencies in the story.

Two weeks after this event Charlie was made redundant from his "sales associate" job and started making YouTube videos!

Surprise surprise Mr Veitch we've kept our eye on you!

First let's explain to people you were not really part of the protest, as you stated to the IPCC "It is your hobby to attend protests and "heckle" demonstrators."

At the London G20 in 2009 a man called Ian Tomlinson a newspaper seller and not part of the demonstration was "unlawfully killed" in a totally unprovoked attack by Police Constable Simon Harwood.

Our video shows Charlie's firsthand account of Mr Tomlinson being killed.

Luckily the truth was caught on video and the court didn't have to rely on Charlie. The jury found Harwood had used "excessive and unreasonable" force in hitting Mr Tomlinson from behind with a baton and then shoving him to the ground.

Charlie's official witness statement to the IPCC: "I can confirm that when the man was initially lying on the ground there was no police in the area."

In the top video, Charlie says he's a 'city worker'...? No he's a bullshit merchant and not a particularly good actor. He then goes on to mention a guy with a megaphone towards the end of his monologue, that's Charlie talking about himself in the third-person, like we wouldn't notice. What a dick.

But saying that, the Guardian video isn't showing a man passing the police in an attempt to get from A to B, and just happening to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. In fact, next post, I'll tell you exactly what it shows.

So, some stills from the Ian Tomlinson video. We first see him in frame here. He's not walking anywhere, he's just standing waiting.

Then we see a couple of police approaching him, this reminded me of something I've seen before. You'll notice his wide stance and his hands hidden in his pockets as the police with the dogs surround him.

Can you see what is actually happening? Look at the colour of his sleeves under the white t-shirt, the blue tone. Look at the blue of the police uniforms. It's the same colour, hence that undershirt is police issue. That's a police man; but that long armed loose blue shirt has a purpose and isn't made of ordinary material. He's put his hands in his pockets to protect them, because he's not expecting what actually happens, he's expecting this.

See the same sort of stance and hidden hands? That's a danger area for a dog bite. Clearly the other police officer didn't communicate properly about what he intended doing, so instead of the dog taking him down we have this, and a rather pissed off police man on the ground.

STATEMENT: “CHARLIE VEITCH PLANT – THE REAL CHARLIE VEITCH”
9th September, 2012

You may have seen a couple of videos making the rounds recently of a BBC NEWS interview I did in the City of London in April 2009 following the G20 protests where Ian Tomlinson was pushed over and killed by the Metropolitan Police.

The video is presented now on YouTube as evidence of the “real” me, or as conclusive evidence that I am “government plant” or “agent”.

I know that most of you can shrug off the video of a chubby banker Veitch as merely evidence of how far people can change, or as an amusing historical footnote in the life of someone who used to sell investments in arms companies and mining corporations.

I am saddened that we do live in a world of anger. Much of it misdirected. Many people are always looking for a scandal, or a way in, a wound with which to allow further blood letting. I am just another person with an army of ghouls on a witch-hunt.

Seeing as I am dealing with paranoid and hateful people, I will be brief. My words will be construed by them as more evidence that I am the leader of MI6′s COINTELPRO and that I am a deep plant in the activist world. So, fuck them. Fuck them and their desire to hurt me.

Let me explain: Ian Tomlinson was there to protest. He was drunk, his eyes were blurred, he had a maniacal look in his eyes and I was one of the last few people he spoke to before he died. I have always acknowledged that the violence meted out to him was over the top and did result in his death.

BUT WHAT I CANNOT STAND BY IS HOW THE ACTIVIST WORLD USES MYTHS AND PROPAGANDA THE SAME WAY THE ELITES DO.

The myth is that Ian Tomlinson was an innocent bystander on his way home. The truth is he was there for the same reasons I was. To protest the G20. I will never forget the words “I’ve been fighting the Police all day”, that Tomlinson uttered to me moments before he was to bait them one last time. I gave all my evidence to the IPCC and to James Corbett when he and I were still on speaking terms before the whole BBC 9/11 conspiracy trip. If anyone disputes this, go look up my Corbett interviews, and go do a Freedom of Information Request from the IPCC for my statement.

What I am sick of is a bunch of mediocre people chasing me and the ridiculous accusations of being a government agent.

I have worked tirelessly to the point of PTSD to bring hundreds of free films to millions of people around the world; I am constantly on the front-line at major demonstrations and news stories, often getting arrested and sometimes abused by law enforcement agents.
I know my actions reveal a startling cowardice in those who would accuse me: Where the fuck is your activism? Where the FUCK is your contribution to helping the world?

What we see a lot of the time in the haters that chase me is a vicious class-hatred. They accuse me of being “middle class” before the hate-shit flies at the fan – when in fact I am the son of a blue-collar sailor (the haters call him a rich oil baron) from the Scottish borders and a Brazilian woman from Rio. That I paid attention in school and read a lot of books and travelled the world to experience many cultures doesn’t make me “posh”. It makes me interested in the world. If you want to hate me for that, go ahead, revel in your small-minded misery.

It is a daily struggle because I am faced in my private inbox and on facebook with levels of hatred, much of it intelligently written and designed to hurt, so high that sometimes I feel like throwing this fucking laptop against the wall and screaming “WHY DO I BOTHER?” and hoping the nukes come down on this festering pustulence that is humanity.

But then…..I remember…..these are my enemies, and their job is to make me give up. They try so hard, with their multiple online accounts, their incessant attacks, their trawling the web to find things to hate me with……and the best they could come up with was “chubby banker Veitch describing what he saw on the ground with his own eyes”.

To everyone who supports what I do, I thank you and hug each and every one of you closely. If it wasn’t for you guys I would have given up a long time ago. You bless me with your kind words and your smiles when we meet in the street. You remind me why I do what I do; we are one big family.

To the haters. To those who out of madness, or private profit from nefarious groups (Daemonlinks - youtube user who posted this latest round of hate video – is seen on my recent EDL video commenting much support for the neo-fascist organisation), I will simply say: Thank you for reminding me how far we have to go as a species. Thank you for the deep analysis into how FUCKED UP some people are.

I've not listened to the whole of this audio uploaded on the 28 February 2013, but it is quite funny listening to Charlie justifying his Ian Tomlinson BBC interview. And then there is some background on the inquest and trial which has a new dimension if you agree that what I suggested in the last post is the best of the three Goldilocks options.

But to keep it relevant to the forum topic, at around 17:30, Charlie discusses his part in a BBC documentary about 911 conspiracy theorists. I'm feeling a rinse-and-repeat here with Professor Hannah Fry and her BBC Unvaccinated documentary about the vaccine hesitant in 2022.

Andrew Maxwell, a comedian, believes in the findings of the official investigation, which claim the responsibility for the attack lies with Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda. He thinks the conspiracies theories are unsubstantiated nonsense. So in this film he offers to take five young Brits, who believe some of these conspiracy theories, on a road trip from New York to Washington. They visit Ground Zero where two planes hit the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, home of vast American defence HQ and Shanksville in Pennsylvania where United 93 crashed.

Each of them believes different elements of the conspiracy theories. Charlotte, a North London nanny who witnessed the attacks, thinks the American government is responsible. She can't believe the hijackers, barely out of flying school, could have steered jetliners into the Twin Towers with such deadly accuracy. Rodney a health worker who studied biochemistry suspects the collapse of the towers was not caused by the planes that went in to them and he wants to get to the bottom of the science. Student Emily, an active member of the 9/11 Truth Movement, thinks the US government was forewarned of the attacks and yet ignored the intelligence allowing it to happen. Shazin wants to find out how the passengers on United 93 could have made phone calls to loved ones from a plane. And Charlie, an ex-banker thinks 9/11 was an excuse for the US Government to go to war with Iraq.

Andrew Maxwell thinks all five of them are wrong and wants to change their minds by confronting them with the facts. So as the bus criss-crosses the east coast of America he tries to convert them to his point of view. He wants to prove to them that 9/11 was no conspiracy and that sometimes the truth, whilst not easy to accept, is staring you right in the face. In order to do so, he takes them to meet experts, the chief air traffic controller on the day, demolition specialists, voice morphing engineers and he gets them to conduct scientific experiments and even fly an aeroplane.

Finally they meet a mother who lost her son, to listen to her account of what it was like to live through this monumental tragedy. Andrew believes it is easy to judge world events from the safe distance of a computer screen in your bedroom but not easy when you are brought face to face with the real human stories behind them.

Andrew Maxwell fights an exhausting battle for the truth and in his mission to convert his fellow travellers there are rows, falling-outs and tears. But there are also moments of tenderness, empathy and warmth.

We know Professor Hannah Fry for her 2022 'Unvaccinated' documentary, but before that, on BBC4, she hosted another documentary called 'Pandemic'. So let's have a bit of a diversion, because just like Andrew Maxwell from the 'Conspiracy Road Trip', Hannah prefers to be known as a badass comedian. Fancy that.

I've posted the following video before, but I see UK Column has extracted the 'Professor Hannah Fry' report as its own video so it's easier for sharing, so I've updated the link and this is just that section, it's from 'UK Column News - 27th July 2022'.

The UK Column team have an interesting section on Prof Hannah Fry and related background. Apparently amongst her other skills she identifies firstly as a comedian. Unsurprising given some of my assertions in the Muppet Show thread.

So we find out Hannah was a member of the Bright Club, which is an academic comedy club. Are things beginning to all fit together?

At around 14:30, Alex comments about 'The Brights', and suggests that might be the linguistic link the 'Bright Club' is using, and he then quotes, "People who wish to play God among men." — the London and Oxbridge set. How interesting is that considering Katie Hopkins.

Here's the BBC bumph for the show, it was aired on BBC4 on Sat 14 Mar 2020... Strangely enough the 'first aired' date is missing. The BBC always lists the aired dates on the show page, but not on this occasion. Very strange. And what's with the confusing title, was the programme aired as "Contagion" or was it aired as "Pandemic"..? I'm sensing some serious shitting-of-bricks with the update made to this page. CONTAGION: THE BBC FOUR PANDEMIC

Why should I take part?
There are flu outbreaks every year but in the last 100 years, there have been four pandemics of a particularly deadly flu, including the Spanish Influenza outbreak which hit in 1918, killing up to 100 million people worldwide. Nearly a century later, a catastrophic flu pandemic still tops the UK Government’s Risk Register of threats to this country. Key to the Government’s response plan are mathematical models which simulate how a highly contagious disease may spread. These models help to decide how best to direct NHS resources, like vaccines and protective clothing. But the models are only as good as the data that goes into them.

The more people of all ages that take part in BBC Pandemic, the better that data will be so the app will be available until the end of Dec 2018.

By identifying the human networks and behaviours that spread a deadly flu, BBC Pandemic will help to make these models more accurate and, in turn, help to stem the next pandemic.

This project has been commissioned by the BBC, and is being undertaken in collaboration with researchers at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

BBC Pandemic gives you the chance to get involved in an ambitious, ground-breaking science experiment that could save lives.

The most likely and immediate threat to our species is a global pandemic of highly infectious flu. Such a pandemic could be so serious that it currently tops the UK Government’s Risk Register.

Scientists from the University of Cambridge and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine are attempting to collect a gold standard data set that can be used to predict how the next pandemic flu would spread through this country - and what can be done to stop it. They need your help.

The follow-up documentary by Professor Hannah Fry to 'Contagion!' is 'Unvaccinated' which aired in 2022. While I've not watched either, it seems to borrow from the exact same premise as '9/11: Conspiracy Road Trip'. Start with a comedian presenter, switch out the five for seven while keeping the diversity. Do they all have different reasons for not wanting to be vaccinated, that would be what we are looking for. Get rid of the bus because we can't be going anywhere, bring in the big brother house. Then bring in the experts and the 'Bright Clubs' little experiments to make the candidates end up mentally where you want them to be. Ask them at the end, have we changed your mind?

Covid-19 is on the rise again in the UK. After multiple lockdowns and more than 197,000 deaths, experts are warning we’re now entering a fifth wave of the pandemic. So why are around four million adults in the UK still yet to receive a single dose of the vaccine? In this timely, eye-opening investigation Professor Hannah Fry seeks to understand why so many remain unvaccinated against Covid-19.

To fully explore this complex and deeply divisive debate, Hannah brings seven unvaccinated participants together under one roof to unpack long-held opinions, beliefs and fears that have prevented them from getting the vaccine. Together, they meet leading experts, confront the latest science and statistics to emerge in the field, and dissect how misinformation spreads on social media. At the end of the experiment, each contributor is asked if what they have learned has changed their mind, and whether they will now take up the vaccine.


Exploring attitudes towards Covid-19 vaccinations

The programme also features the largest UK-wide survey on attitudes to the vaccine since its rollout, conducted by ICM. From a sample size of over 2,500 adults from across the UK, 1,894 were vaccinated and 664 were unvaccinated. The findings shed light on what the biggest barriers to vaccination are for those who remain unvaccinated, as well as attitudes towards Covid-19 information and misinformation from across the whole sample. For example, it suggests that 27% of all adults are unlikely to want any more Covid vaccines.

The following interview with two of the participants was broadcast on GB News the day after the BBC documentary was aired, so 21st July 2022. Some interesting points raised; Dan says, "My impression, having sat through the documentary, is that they wanted to portray the participants as mad conspiracy theorists." I'm guessing that was also the point of 'Conspiracy Road Trip', the clue being in the name.

And just as a final note, while I didn't follow the controversy, Dan Wootton has recently been terminated from GB News. From what I can gather from the odd tweet, it is because of something Laurence Fox said on Dan's show. I have no comment, other than FOX = 666.

Just before I leave Charlie, I wanted to note something the narrator says in the Guardian video, the one were Ian Tomlinson gets pushed over. It starts...

This is the crowd at the G20 protest on April 1st around 7:20 PM. They are on Cornhill, near the Bank of England [this is in the City of London boundaries]. This footage will form the basis of a police investigation into the death of this man...

AND ON THE SOVEREIGN CITY OF LONDON


A reminder; the City of London is not part of the United Kingdom, and we know this because the Queen...King, is not the Sovereign. And we know this because King Charles III cannot enter the City without permission. Therefore anything that happens in the City only pretends to adhere to English law, while in actual fact, it is a law unto itself.

Going back to 'Introducing The Real...' video, I'm going to guess the whole story about Charlie being a city worker, or ex-banker as listed in the Road Trip documentary, is a complete fabrication. I put forward instead, that eyewitness interview to camera he gave was meant to be the start of a high profile identity, you know, the way the following reality tv appearance was used to create billionaire Rishi Sunak.

But that performance, and him clearly ad-libbing over and above what he was meant to say, got him cancelled. When Danny Shine gives a reason he distanced himself from Charlie, he doesn't point to anything other than that interview...hence Charlie's own words. And just to reiterate, Danny says he felt unsafe around him.

Now just a reminder, Charlie's witness interview was recorded on the 1st April 2009, and it was stated somewhere he got let-go from his City job two weeks after that interview because he attended the demonstration. 'Road Trip' didn't air until the 8th September 2011, and then between these we have the film Danny Dicks made and references in the interview with Danny Shine about the Love Police.

FORMER BANK WORKER WHO HELPED TO BRING CHAOS TO STREETS OF LONDON

A demonstrator who joined anarchists causing chaos in the capital is a privately educated former finance worker whose girlfriend was a reality TV star.

Charlie Veitch, 30, is the founder of a group called The Love Police Academy and attended Saturday's protest with 500 followers. He was among the activists who occupied Fortnum & Mason and told how he joined rioters who stormed McDonald's in Leicester Square and Boots in Piccadilly Circus.

His girlfriend, also an activist, is Cambridge student Silkie Carlo, 18, who has appeared on Channel 4 reality show Shipwrecked.

Mr Veitch was educated at The Edinburgh Academy and is the son of a wealthy oil worker. He claims to have been employed for HBOS in wealth management after attending Edinburgh University. He has also said he served in the Army. He says he was made redundant during the financial crisis and then decided to become a full-time protester and film-maker.

Mr Veitch has been involved in high-profile protests across the country. He was one of those who occupied Millbank Tower during the student fees demonstration in December. Before Saturday, he posted a video on his website calling for "chaos" in London, adding: "The main aim ... is for the Metropolitan police to lose control of the city.

"This can be done through very peaceful, non-violent means. If you are feeling very brave and you feel that you might liberate a police radio off their chests in the middle of some sort of face-off, do that. Remember this is life and death. I am a firm believer in bringing about chaos."

There is no suggestion Mr Veitch is directly linked to the "Black Bloc" anarchists who rampaged through London. But Mr Veitch wrote an article after the protest praising their actions.

He wrote: "The Love Police Academy, my personal feudal army, had been planning the day for a while. At 13:00 we stormed the Leicester Square McDonald's and attempted to liberate the burger-flippers. Half an hour later we forced the flagship Boots store in Piccadilly Circus to close.

"The Metropolitan police completely lost control of the area as Fortnum & Mason was stormed and trashed and officers pulled Section 60 (weapons search) forms from their bags to deal with us. Shortly afterwards, I found myself staring at the front of the Ritz Hotel and howling with laughter. People kept throwing bricks through its windows and smashing the doors in with hammers."

Mr Veitch lives in Cambridge with Miss Carlo, who was also at the protest. She studies politics, psychology and sociology and was on Shipwrecked in 2009. Mr Veitch told the Standard: "I was not involved with the violence.

"We were inside Fortnum & Mason but we took no part in the violence. I see any action which makes a statement and doesn't hurt anyone as political art."

It's just the same shitty script as Extinction Rebellion. Roll forward to the 22nd April 2021, and instead of the Ritz Hotel having its windows broken, we have HSBC. No crime is committed if the company give the actors permission to demonstrate some performance art against its property, instead it's just a stage show. How much do you think those Extinction Rebellion actors got paid to perform the stunt?

Extinction Rebellion activists smash windows at Canary Wharf HSBC

After breaking the glass using hammers and chisels, the women sat down and waited to be arrested

Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists have shattered at least 19 windows at HSBC's headquarters in east London.

The Earth Day protest at the Canary Wharf branch was staged to draw attention to the bank's links to the fossil fuel industry, activists said.

Nine women took part in the protest, wearing patches with the words "better broken windows than broken promises".

After breaking the glass using [XR branded] hammers and chisels, the women sat down and waited to be arrested by police.

The Met said officers were called at 07:10 BST to reports of a group of protesters causing damage to a building in Canada Square, E14. Nine women were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and remain in police custody, the force added.

Activists said the protest was part of their "Money Rebellion" movement against economic institutions contributing to the climate crisis.

It comes after XR members broke windows at the London headquarters of Barclays two weeks ago.

Stickers were placed on the windows of the bank reading "£80 billion into fossil fuels in the last 5 years"

The thing to take from this, in 2009 Charlie's identity was to be that of a City banker employed by HBOS before he screwed it up. Eleven years later in 2021 we have another bunch of sock puppets in the form of XR doing a variation of the same thing; this time breaking the windows of a City of London bank for the cameras.
