Senior Senator Ben Cardin is retiring

Unread post by SaiGirl »

Was the timing of this related to Cardin announcing that, after decades, he won't be returning to the Senate?
Was this the last chance his staffers had to produce a gay porn flick in the sacred well of the Senate?

Huge story here in Maryland, headlining all over AM radio.
But very little national coverage. They seem to be mostly trying to ignore it or play it down.

Interesting to see the merging of gay politics, climate change and Democrat organizing encapsulated in the short career of this character.
How many more like him on Capitol Hill, working for either Party?

Staging a gay porn movie in the U.S. Senate

Unread post by SaiGirl »

A scandal erupted Friday as an explicit video surfaced, showing a Congressional staffer
having sex on the dais of a Senate hearing room. Although the individual's identity remained
initially undisclosed, the person in question is Aidan Maese-Czeropski, a staffer working for Democrat Senator Ben Cardin.

Less than a day after the video was leaked, Ben Cardin fired Aidan Maese-Czeropski.

In response to the controversy, Maese-Czeropski took to LinkedIn, asserting that he was
being "attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda."
'While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would
never disrespect my workplace,' he said.
"Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring
what legal options are available to me in these matters."
According to LinkedIn profile, Maese-Czeropski began working in Senator Ben Cardin's office
in October 2021. Prior to this role, he served as a field organizer for the Democratic Party in
Virginia and contributed as a climate researcher at the charity Friends of the Earth.
