What we call “science” is an Ancient Greek concept, carried forward by the European Enlightenment. (Baroque / Classical period, approximately 1650-1800)
What is science?
What is “scientific method”? (e.g. procedure, protocol, algorithm, recipe)
It is a method that relies on continuous advancing (or correcting) EXPERIMENT.
And then deriving reusable MODELS from validating, quantifying and analyzing the DATA (observations, results) collected from the experiment.
One common example of a protocol that claims to reflect this method would be “Koch’s Postulates”.
This one purports to formalize the identification and classification of an infectious agent called “bacteria” in the process of “infection” or “infectious disease”.
Neither the “HIV=>AIDS” hypothesis nor the “SARS-COV2 hypothesis” have ever satisfied “Koch’s Postulates”. Indeed they violate several of them. (See Duesberg, Kaufman).

Consider a scientific or mathematical model as a "spreadsheet" with data in every box.
That would be considered a standard "linear model".
There are two basic kinds of models: Deterministic and stochastic.
A deterministic model has strictly determined finite values in each cell of the spreadsheet.
With the assumption of 100% certainty.
A stochastic model is one in which the spreadsheet data values are percentages or probabilities.
Weather forecasting models would be strictly stochastic.
As would be any model for shooting craps, flipping a coin or any game of chance.
And for "quantum theory".
What is an example of a falsifiable statement?
Here are two black swans, but even with no black swans to possibly falsify it, "All swans are white" would still be shown falsifiable by "Here is a black swan"—a black swan would still be a state of affairs, only an imaginary one.
Science is the creation (formulation) of falsifiable hypotheses subject to testing for reproducible results.
Based on strong hypotheses (“well formed”).
Yielding mathematical or geometric MODELS with quantifiable / measurable results

With regards to the Flat Earth theory, I'd like to add this video of CJB books to give another perspective on this whole F.E. push we have seen in the alternative media (but also by their pawns; actors/musicians etc).
As a disclaimer; I don't agree with everything CJB claims; for example he believes people die in hoaxes like 911 and he thinks nukes are real and the best one; he urges us to write to our politicians to stop this 6.000 year old plan we are in the last page of.

However, his field of expertise is talmud, kaballah etc and that is why I posted it; to give another perspective on why this f.e. nonsense is pushed by the people who shape the global reality.
So he might be ignorant to the other topics, he might be a controlled op; it does not matter because the way this world works is that you'll find truths by listening to liars. I think most people here have learned a lot from people they now (maybe) no longer follow, say for instance a Corbett Report or Max Igan.

watched them go white supremists ,spent years on hoaxbusters, jan irving ,loved me some clyde lewis too everything on jfk got watched as did 911
all the while listening to fakeologist audios and their links to other contemporary conspiracies ,biglies dot org and the full range of 911 websites ,alls that was left to do is start to dismiss people for their public beliefs and cross check them with actually reality as gleamed along the way ,til finally your left talking to maybe half a dozen real people

but as you say the best way is to test possibilities on supposed real people ,or self proclaimed experts is to listen to and research yourself and compare it to their public beliefs and proof where possible
