How do you get someone to break the line and tow the trucks? Money of course, lots of it.
Apparently the going rate was $800 an hour, and that includes leaving from hundreds of miles away to get to Ottawa and back.

MESSAGE FROM TERRORIST LEADER OF DIAGOLON

Ottawa protests: ‘strong ties’ between some occupiers and far-right extremists, minister says
Extremist researchers Anti-Hate Canada said the symbol is the flag of a satirical country of Diagolon – and the emblem of a “neo-fascist” and militia movement of the same name. The group has not been linked to any violence, but the researchers say that a string of meetings where members have posed with firearms indicate that it is becoming “a militia network”.

On the organization’s channel on the secure messaging app Telegram, members have in recent days cheered on the Coutts and Ottawa protests and shared images of prime minister Justin Trudeau’s head on a pyke.

Anti-extremist researchers say that the group’s leader is a prominent far-right activist named Jeremy MacKenzie, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan who served in a Canadian Armed Forces infantry unit.

Last April, he told viewers on a livestream: “Let’s just go to Parliament Hill and burn it down.”

MacKenzie was arrested in late January on weapons charges in his home province in Nova Scotia and released awaiting trial. He lamented on his livestream that “all of my legally acquired and possessed firearms are now in the possession of the state”.

What is the Diagolon extremist group and what does it want?
When Alberta RCMP released images of the weapons and tactical gear seized from a group that took part in the Coutts, Alta., border blockade, the pictures showed patches displaying a white diagonal line on a black background -- the calling card of the Diagolon far-right extremist group.

Four men associated with the Coutts blockade have been charged with allegedly plotting to kill RCMP police officers, but the Mounties have not yet publicly commented on any possible connections with the group.

Without naming any specific group, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino alluded to ties between protesters in Ottawa and the Coutts arrests while speaking to reporters Wednesday, saying “several of the individuals at Coutts have strong ties to a far-right extreme organization with leaders who are in Ottawa. We’re talking about a group that is organized, agile, knowledgeable and driven by an extremist ideology where might makes right.”

Mendicino appeared to double down on his remarks in Thursday’s House of Commons session, saying “there is an ideologically-motivated operation that we see in the rhetoric here that is meant to incite,” which was one of the major reasons the government chose to invoke the Emergencies Act, he said.

A Convoy Revved by Foreign Actors Spreading Lies
“It is clear significant elements of social media were manipulated. Who, what and where still has to be figured out,” added Shipley.

Russia began to pioneer recent disinformation campaigns first in the Ukraine in 2014 and then the U.S. presidential election in 2016. Among other tricks, Russian Twitter accounts encouraged certain Americans to vote by text — an impossibility which resulted in voter suppression.

Since then Russia operatives have also actively supported right-wing movements and funded white supremacists in Europe to destabilize democracies there. One such Canadian group, Diagolon, has played a role in the Ottawa occupation.

Kolga told The Tyee that Canadian governments need to take the threat of disinformation by foreign actors more seriously. Sweden, for example, recently set up a national psychological warfare defence unit and Canada needs to do something similar.

“Our democracy is in serious trouble. What we are seeing in Ottawa is a product of ignoring the warnings.”

Old now but interesting take on the counter-protesters.

TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) — The Ontario Ministry of Transportation has shut down 39 independent trucking companies for their involvement in the Freedom Convoy protest against COVID restrictions.

In another round of anti-protest sanctions, the ministry confirmed that 12 trucking companies in Ontario and 27 outside the province have been hit with seizure orders revoking their authority to conduct business in Ontario following their alleged involvement in the anti-mandate Freedom Convoy protest.

“In an effort to preserve future police investigations into the illegal occupation in Ottawa, the ministry will not release the names of affected businesses at this time,” a ministry spokesperson said, indicating a criminal investigation may be underway regarding these 39 trucking companies which decided to peacefully protest the government.

The confirmation of these sanctions was reported by TruckNews on Wednesday, the same day Prime Minister Justin Trudeau revoked the Emergencies Act and Ontario Premier Doug Ford axed the province’s state of emergency.

Despite the revocation of the Emergencies Act, World Economic Forum (WEF) member and Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland has maintained that some of the powers granted to the federal government through the Act could be made permanent.

Included in the measures the government implemented was the monitoring of cryptocurrency exchanges and crowdfunding platforms, as well as the freezing of private bank accounts without a court order.

Without names this is likely fake.
Independents can just reapply for this bs "authority".
