A lot of people have been sharing a short video of Russian planes allegedly flying low over the city of Kiev. The Times used it a still from it in their story “Will sanctions stop a Russian shell?”:



The problem with that is it’s not Kiev, it’s Moscow. And it’s not today, it’s two years ago. It’s footage of what is likely a rehearsal for the 2020 Victory Day Parade flyover.

Early on in the confrontation, this video started doing the rounds on social media:



The video went viral, receiving 100,000s of views. Hundreds of accounts shared it, even major news networks used it, all claiming it shows a power station in Luhansk exploding after being hit with Russian missiles.

It does not, it’s a chemical plant exploding in Tianjin, China in 2015.

This footage, claiming to show Ukrainian ground forces downing Russian aircraft, also went viral recently, even appearing on Spanish television news:

Typical of the Mathis operation to give some minimal truth which WE see clearer than the Mathis op, then give absurd reasoning to stop those of us with inquiring minds to think outside of their box.

According to Mathis, the reason for the fake war is to cover up covid/vaccines/and the US trucker revolution. And of course they need another worldwide fake war to create more dollars on computer screens.

In my opinion, these are the 3 most UNLIKELY reasons for the enemy launching the Ukraine op, courtesy of the Mathis op.

The current conflict between the Ukraine and Russia

In reality, the original footage was first posted online in November 2012, and appears to have been captured by Palestinian journalist Samer Nazzal. A six-minute recording of the encounter between Israeli soldiers and Ahed Tamimi, who was then 12 years old, can be watched below:



According to the Arabic and English captions included by Nazzal, Tamimi was confronting the soldiers about the well-being and whereabouts of her 15-year-old brother, who had reportedly been arrested some time earlier. The incident took place near the West Bank village of Nabi Salih.

In the intervening decade, Tamimi has become something of a cult figure among supporters of the Palestinian cause, frequently appearing in videotaped confrontations with Israeli soldiers. In 2017 and 2018, she spent eight months in prison after being convicted of assault for slapping two Israeli soldiers. [SURE SHE DID]

So Snopes task here appears to be to call the footage out as being fake while diverting our attention from the fact it was a staged Palestinian incident originally recorded around 2012, and which you can still purchase from Getty Images to include in your war propaganda.

Wasn't it so much easier to feed the same propaganda to different audiences with different captions when media was on DVD and the DVDs had region codes. Oh wait...
