Re: The Vax, Ticketmaster, and your Vaccine Status

Unread post by rachel »

An old post from 2020, revisited in light of what we've learned.

I've been on Apple training in the past, and one of the big things Apple has designed into its systems and their mobile-learning trainers promote as a major strength is the way they use security. Apple bases its business on them never having access to data at any point of the journey through its systems. The rationale being, if they never hold a way to unencrypt the data nor a backdoor to be able to retrieve the unencrypted data, then enforcement agencies cannot pursue them with court orders to get the data. Equally, there is no point in hacking Apple, because at no point in time is the data unencrypted, and the system is designed in such a way that the encrypted data is keyless, meaning the keys cannot be stolen from Apple because it don't exist except with the user...say a thumb print recognition on the phone.

Now this is undoubtably a strength, but when we relate it to the article above. Was this always where iPhone technology was going?

How Ticketmaster Plans to Check Your Vaccine Status for Concerts: Exclusive

11/11/2020

Ticketmaster has been working on a framework for post-pandemic fan safety that uses smart phones to verify fans' vaccination status or COVID-19 test results.

MMonday’s news that pharmaceutical company Pfizer’s early results on a new COVID-19 vaccine showed a 90% efficacy rate on an initial clinical trial have given concert professionals hope that the business can start mounting a return in 2021. As part of that preparation, Ticketmaster has been working on a framework for post-pandemic fan safety that uses smart phones to verify fans’ vaccination status or whether they’ve tested negative for the coronavirus within a 24 to 72 hour window.

Many details of the plan, which is still in development phase, will rely on three separate components — the Ticketmaster digital ticket app, third party health information companies like CLEAR Health Pass or IBM’s Digital Health Pass and testing and vaccine distribution providers like Labcorp and the CVS Minute Clinic.

Here’s how it would work, if approved: After purchasing a ticket for a concert, fans would need to verify that they have already been vaccinated (which would provide approximately one year of COVID-19 protection) or test negative for coronavirus approximately 24 to 72 hours prior to the concert. The length of coverage a test would provide would be governed by regional health authorities — if attendees of a Friday night concert had to be tested 48 hours in advance, most could start the testing process the day before the event. If it was a 24-hour window, most people would likely be tested the same day of the event at a lab or a health clinic.

Once the test was complete, the fan would instruct the lab to deliver the results to their health pass company, like CLEAR or IBM. If the tests were negative, or the fan was vaccinated, the health pass company would verify the attendee’s COVID-19 status to Ticketmaster, which would then issue the fan the credentials needed to access the event. If a fan tested positive or didn’t take a test to verify their status, they would not be granted access to the event. There are still many details to work out, but the goal of the program is for fans to take care of vaccines and testing prior to the concert and not show up hoping to be tested onsite.

Ticketmaster would not store or have access to fans’ medical records and would only receive verification of whether a fan is cleared to attend an event on a given date. Different states will have different requirements. The main role of companies like health pass companies will be to collect data from testing and medical providers and deliver status updates to partner companies in a secure, encrypted way that complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Notice, the system relies on a TRINITY.

Three components:
  • digital ticket app (smart phone) - Ticketmaster
  • third party health information companies - CLEAR Health Pass or IBM’s Digital Health Pass
  • testing vaccine distribution providers - Labcorp and the CVS Minute Clinic

RFID and Identity Management in Everyday Life [2006]

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT - Scientific Technology Options Assessment (STOA)

It’s an interesting dive into RFID and ultimately Digital ID, because this took place at the same time as Tony Blair’s (failed) attempt to push through the National ID card scheme, with Clare Sullivan lurking in the shadows.

‘This trust in the limited function of the system is somewhat justified. Unlike, for example, GSM, GPS or Internet data, RFID data currently only provide a very fragmented image of its users‘

Of course, this changed… rather a lot later on…

‘Within these limited settings, many systems still run parallel to the system they are supposed to replace: paper tickets, barcodes, cash, iron keys, magnetic cards, etc. This could limit the convenience for the users, but it also provides them with more choice and limits the possibilities for control by the maintainer. In other words, a poor digital identity is not worth managing.‘

What’s lacking is integration between services -

‘This could change in the coming years. According to the experts with who we discussed our findings, a number of developments are likely to take place that will lead to an ‘Internet of things’ in which RFID will play a key role.‘

… and here we are -

‘Once every citizen holds an RFID version of these identity cards, the databases running within these systems will provide a real-time overview of all movements within the system.‘

… and there’s the legit fear - outlined in 2006.

Re: The Vax, and One Digital Health

Again from the One Health thread, just posted, a section from the paper about One Digital Health. We can see COVID-19 was about implementing One Digital Health and the Digital Health Pass, and it's going to be based on being shot-up with drugs, else you don't get to have a life...and it's all a money making exercise.

One Digital Health: A Unified Framework for Future Health Ecosystems

Abstract
One Digital Health is a proposed unified structure. The conceptual framework of the One Digital Health Steering Wheel is built around two keys (ie, One Health and digital health), three perspectives (ie, individual health and well-being, population and society, and ecosystem), and five dimensions (ie, citizens’ engagement, education, environment, human and veterinary health care, and Healthcare Industry 4.0). One Digital Health aims to digitally transform future health ecosystems, by implementing a systemic health and life sciences approach that takes into account broad digital technology perspectives on human health, animal health, and the management of the surrounding environment. This approach allows for the examination of how future generations of health informaticians can address the intrinsic complexity of novel health and care scenarios in digitally transformed health ecosystems. In the emerging hybrid landscape, citizens and their health data have been called to play a central role in the management of individual-level and population-level perspective data. The main challenges of One Digital Health include facilitating and improving interactions between One Health and digital health communities, to allow for efficient interactions and the delivery of near–real-time, data-driven contributions in systems medicine and systems ecology. However, digital health literacy; the capacity to understand and engage in health prevention activities; self-management; and collaboration in the prevention, control, and alleviation of potential problems are necessary in systemic, ecosystem-driven public health and data science research. Therefore, people in a healthy One Digital Health ecosystem must use an active and forceful approach to prevent and manage health crises and disasters, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Two Enabling Keys: One Health and Digital Health
It is widely acknowledged that the concepts of health data, information, and knowledge refer to a person’s health and medical history. Health informatics refers to the management (ie, collection, aggregation, analysis, and interpretation) of health data, information, and knowledge (ie, those related to patient care) that are made available through the deployment of digital tools. Many scholars have contributed to the expansion of these original core concepts. Such contributions include (1) increasing technology adoption and performance; (2) enhancing technology safety, quality, effectiveness; and (3) improving the efficiency of care. One Health and digital health researchers seek to make their fields more comprehensive and inclusive, by studying research fields that are constantly being improved due to the development of health informatics. As a result, the field of biomedical and health informatics (BMHI) “pursues the effective uses of biomedical data, information, and knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and decision making, motivated by efforts to improve human health”; and “investigates and supports reasoning, modeling, simulation, experimentation, and translation across the spectrum from molecules to populations, dealing with a variety of biological systems”. In this sense, BMHI reflects manifold purposes and benefits all professionals in the health care field.

During the early 2000s, the internet was integrated into the day-to-day life of the general public. At the same time, eHealth emerged as a novel concept. eHealth has expanded the focus of medical informatics to include clinical information systems. This has allowed the field to actively acknowledge health service customers, which are the central focus of the system. Thus, eHealth has majorly emphasized the importance of consumer health informatics in the current century.

eHealth-related concepts have been defined and disseminated over more than 20 years. Nonetheless, the massive process of digitalizing health services (ie, the process we are currently witnessing) has brought renewed focus to economics. This focus has manifested as the use of the term “digital health”. This means that even though the terms “electronic something” and “digital something” are considered synonyms, the former seemingly refers to “electromagnetic stuff” from the “old times” (ie,1990s to the beginning of 2000s), whereas the latter sounds more like “advanced technologies” that fully support the daily practices of health and care. Thus, the term “digital health” is catchier than “electronic health,” which can refer to communities that have not fully integrated technology. In other words, no considerable differences seem to exist between eHealth and digital health, as no paradigm shifts exist between them. Yet, digital health can be seen as a refined version of eHealth, since digital health explicitly accounts for the deployment of health data, information, knowledge, and decision support systems via digital technologies, in a context that features life and environmental aspects. Digital health therefore entails (1) ubiquitously collecting and storing data, information, and knowledge to efficiently deliver health care; (2) making health and medicine more personalized and precise; (3) pursuing goals that are related to health promotion, well-being, and efficient self-management; (4) considering the economic dimensions of the services tendered.

I often wonder if Tony Bliar and his mate Gordon Brown were all over the Madeleine McCann thingy to try and roll out a DNA database/ID through mass collection of DNA to find a 'suspect'.

I'd never given it a thought before, but I think you are right, that appears to be exactly the case. They were going to use it to pass the legislation through the EU, and then say, as they always did, "it's not us, it's the EU implementing this".

This is the main reason I maintain the EU Referendum vote result was such a blow for them. As soon as David Cameron promoted it as "a vote to continue in the EU and nothing would change", why have a vote then? And they used NUDGE psychology with wording "REMAIN/LEAVE" instead of every other "YES/NO" referendum that has ever been. It's clear REMAIN would have been the end of Britain as we know it...Common Law gone.

They clearly wanted to get a referendum out of the way, so when the EU suddenly turned into a Nazi state, Cameron could say, "well you had your chance to leave and you decided you much preferred to have express checkouts at the airports instead". And then finally when they couldn't swing the popular vote for a second Referendum...you remember The "People's Vote" la-la they tried to push, they gave up plan A, and went to plan B - the WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty.

Like I say, there is zero chance of any UK MPs standing against the WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty, because it is designed by Tony Blair's cronies, and it is designed to do with force what they were hoping they could NUDGE.
