Re: Paypal
Do you think it's possible this Paypal fiasco was all orchestrated? Maybe the whole plan was to plant the seed in people's minds that if you spread what is perceived as disinformation you will be fined. Like a social credit system that could be coming. Floating around the idea of fines for disinfo just to see the public's reaction? Also maybe this will cause people to become paranoid about what they are saying in the virtual world and so they will self censor.
The narrative is that Paypal lost a lot of money, the stock price fell and a lot of Paypal accounts were closed. Where do all these ex-Paypal account holders move their money to after they close their account? Does Paypal send checks out to these people? Who knows how much of any of the fallout for Paypal is true because it feels like this fiasco was a giant ad for Paypal. Bad publicity is good publicity. Why would Paypal go into a downward spiral now when digital currency or cashless is the future?

Re: Paypal
They pulled back and reversed course so quickly I'm sure most didn't have a chance to respond with outrage.

Re: Paypal
Apparently they haven't reversed the terms.

I've tweeted @AskPayPal to find out what is true, I'll let you know if they answer me, this is my second time of asking, so I won't hold my breath.
