Cocaine hippos (Hippopotamus amphibius ssp. magdalensis) is a Newspeak and (Newspeech) term for the population of exodemic (as opposed to endemic - bio original taxa) hippos, species name Hippopotamus amphibius, living, cause growing and thriving cause Escobar's and bio environment in the Middle Magdalena River, Central Colombia, South America.

The officially coined Colombian subspecies is called Hippopotamus amphibius ssp. capensis.

They represent the biggest population of hippos outside of their endemic continent of Africa.
