Some great work on the marching crowd images continuing on Clues Forum, including this observation by nonhocapito (Paris – “Charlie Hebdo shooting” thread 07/01/2015)
“This Peter Turnley is a real lazy ass. He had to document a march with 4 million people, “the feelings of Paris”, and evidently took all pictures in the same place. You could play “where’s Waldo” with the faces that are repeated across pictures. In fact, there’s even a guy with a Waldo hat and glasses in the first pic.”
January 13, 2015 at 7:24 pm #151614Tom DalpraParticipantMmmm…interesting stuff on Cluesforum. I was looking at Nonho’s and Simon’s stuff and that purple turban caught my eye. While showing the guy didn’t move around much to frame these photos it also occurred to me it might be in there as part of perception management.
Just off the top of my head, you know?!http://cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1762&start=150
PURPLE.
CHAKRA COLORS: PURPLE IS THE COLOR OF THE CROWN CHAKRA The Crown Chakra, also known as the Sahasrara, is located at the top of the head. It is linked to the crown of the head, the nervous system, and the brain, and is representative of pure thought. This chakra connects one with the infinite consciousness. Opening this chakra will help tap into a deep spiritual understanding.DalTampra

Let’s have you President of Mali, as the only one with a red tie and you can stand right in the middle.”
No shortage of brown men in the purple turban guys’ photos.
”Je suis Coco” baby.
Jus’ sayin.

Not so much evidence of an inside job as evidence of an inside joke, perhaps?

Apart from the Charlie C3 Citroen being blatant product placement, it is also good to know that André-Gustave Citroën was a mason and that that’s reflected in their logo.
They’ve got an interesting Dutch history:
The Citroen family moved to Paris from Amsterdam in 1873. Upon arrival, the diaeresis was added to the name (reputedly by one of André’s teachers), changing Citroen to Citroën (a grandfather had been a greengrocer and seller of tropical fruit, and had taken the surname of Limoenman, literally “lime man”, his son however preferred Citroen, Dutch for “lemon”).
By the way, need I tell you they make crappy cars?
January 14, 2015 at 6:33 am #152025rgosParticipantAndré Limoenman
This is not a lemon.January 14, 2015 at 9:48 am #152139rgosParticipantLooks like André Limoenman is an old hand at French psyoppery.
President Charles de Gaulle survived an assassination attempt at Le Petit-Clamart near Paris on August 22, 1962, planned by Algerian War veteran Jean-Marie Bastien-Thiry. The plan was to ambush the motorcade with machine guns, disable the vehicles, and then close in for the kill. De Gaulle praised the unusual abilities of his unarmoured DS with saving his life – the car was peppered with bullets, and the shots had punctured the tyres, but the car could still escape at full speed.[44] This event was accurately recreated in the 1973 film The Day of the Jackal.

Mind the date…
Now let’s see what’s under the bonnet.January 14, 2015 at 11:59 am #152218Tom DalpraParticipantSo yes, re. Carys’ picture, The international variant of ‘Where’s Waldo?’ is ‘Ou est Charlie?’.
I don’t mean to labour the point. It’s just a good one to show the kids, maybe.

As a handshake, it appears to define insincerity to me.It’s a bit like Mr Bean meets Phil Silvers. Even the guardsman’s got a smirk.

January 15, 2015 at 1:03 pm #153115Tom DalpraParticipantThere’s a 17 there, ok, and the guy could be said to be pointing to Soissons.
SOISSONS –
”During the Hundred Years’ War, French forces committed a notorious massacre of English archers stationed at the town’s garrison, in which many of the French townsfolk were themselves raped and killed. The massacre of French citizens by French soldiers shocked Europe; Henry V of England, noting that the town of Soissons was dedicated to the saints Crispin and Crispinian, claimed to avenge the honour of the saints when he met the French forces at the Battle of Agincourt on St Crispin’s Day 1415.”The Battle of Agincourt was a major English victory in the Hundred Years’ War. The battle occurred on Friday, 25 October 1415 (Saint Crispin’s Day), near modern-day Azincourt, in northern France. Henry V’s victory at Agincourt, against a numerically superior French army, crippled France and started a new period in the war during which Henry married the French king’s daughter and then Henry’s son, Henry VI, was made heir to the throne of France.”

What’s the betting that incident in Soissons was a big European military psyOp from the 15th century anyway and this is a nod to it?

Agincourt 1415? I say ‘oax!
January 15, 2015 at 3:14 pm #153188Tom DalpraParticipantFor what it’s worth, the King of France was Charlie V1 at that point.

Now, why are these clowns ( ‘surviving’ Hebdo employees) wearing head bands like something from Vietnam?
The lie is neatly framed in this one. It’s everywhere!
At the press conference for the release of the 50 times normal print run, editor-in-chief Gerard Biard comforted Renald “Luz” Luzier, who drew the latest cover.
There was some not-very-convincing distress and also possibly, some dupers delight in evidence.
A special mention went to Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Editor of the ‘Left-Wing satirical’ magazine. He sent his support and has become a subscriber.

January 15, 2015 at 3:33 pm #153192Tom DalpraParticipantSorry, I ask a silly question, it is obviously a suggestion of the Vietnam War.
( As has been pointed out, the US enemy in that war, the Viet Cong, or VC were, of course, known as Charlie, coming from Victor Charlie.)

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numéro_d’appel_d’urgenceWell I never, rgos another 17!
Specifically the Police Emergency number, I see.
Old French colonial Africa uses it too.
Notably Algeria and Mali.
Now, back in July last year (24/7, if we’re on numbers) just after MH17 was ‘shot down’, Air Algeria, Flight 5017 went down in Mali with apparently 52 French victims.
The total number of victims in that particular ‘tragedy’? Fasten your seatbealts: 116
I almost said ”You couldn’t make it up, could you?’
But then I thought better.
