A number of news sources started to question whether ‘Hollywood’ is influencing these ‘psychos’. I saw them preview some story they were going to do about it and I was like, ‘yeah, how are people being influenced by movies like the Hunger Games?’
To my amazement (maybe I shouldn’t have been) they did not even mention the Hunger Games or any violent movies. No, they suggested that comedy movies might have influenced Elliot Rodger. That’s right, comedy.
They were saying it is how misogyny is portrayed in these comedy flicks that may be causing crazies to go off the deep end.
Yes, there is much misogynistic messages in many films comedy or not, seems to be par for the course.
Is this just a blatant distraction from discussing the merits of movies like the Hunger Games and it’s obvious connections to a culture of violence? I think so..

182 days between November 22 (release of Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire) and May 23. May 23 just happens to be 182 days until the release of the next Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay on November 21, 2014. 1+8+2=11wolfman9MemberFor what it is worth, from the Urban Dictionary:
