Polio is an all-encompassing description of a syndrome which includes many many nerve and neurotoxin symptoms. DDT is but one of the many poisonous chemicals that humans are exposed to that cause nerve damage. It is definitely not the only and will not be the last chemical toxin that plagues humans and their nervous systems to this day.
