Now get this:
All 30 victims were Thompson’s and First Choice customers.oh!
http://press.firstchoice.co.uk/thomson-first-choice-statement/
you’re right, Tom. [July 2 2015]As many as 2,500 Thomson and First Choice customers will be flown out of Tunisia today on repatriation flights…
TUI joint chief executive Peter Long said: “Our whole organisation is reeling with pain to see the suffering that is taking place in Tunisia with our customers.
Thomson had hundreds of customers at hotels in the Sousse area, and confirmed several of the victims were its customers, but was unable to confirm how many had been killed or injured.
…we are scheduling three extra flights to Cape Verde, Rhodes and Gran Canaria for customers wishing to change their holidays.[hope there’s spare capacity in those three locations…
Travel agency Thomas Cook, who said it did not have any customers or staff caught in the incident
How would it know that, whereas Tui group didn’t know how many?? They could have had customers on the beach from other hotels.
[Thomas Cook cancelled their contract with the Hotel Rui in El Kantaoui in 2010]

mmm interesting to look at those ages, on 7/7 xilef.
You know me, I like to keep on thread, but it’s topical, for sure.
On that, it’s almost testable. You could survey a typical rush hour age ratio.
There’s a fun job for someone – who like getting up early and going underground – sort of the opposite of a mole, perhaps? Perhaps not, but I wouldn’t mind taking a tube and getting a vibe of it, if I was local, out of interest. The 52 deaths… played like cards. Like the 52 Iranian Embassy Hostages.
Carter went all-in and Reagan cleaned-up.

It’s classic isn’t it ? 2,500 people, that had absolutely sweet fuck all to do with the Sousse event, have now returned to the UK and all their families and friends and their friends and families and the woman in the shop, anyone of them talks to about it etc etc… will forever know they were involved in it, to the point of being repatriated. ‘I know someone who was in it !’ they keenly interject, if the event is mentioned somewhere in conversation, happy to have some sort of connection to the famous event. Forget questioning the events’ credibility to them (usually). They ‘know’ it happened.
We can see how effective it is.

July 6, 2015 at 3:47 am #320202xileffilexParticipantPerhaps our friend in red wanted some extra sun tan on his neck?
Here’s a nice sequence from this staged event
Come on, can we have the man with the Ferrari red shirt? ‘m getting tired of holding this…
Great. Now lets have a group shot. Can we have the large men in the blood red, Tunisian red shirt at the front please?
Can we have a bunch of flowers now. Quick, nip out and get one
Thanks, now are there any parachutes lying around the beach? Anyone been parascending? Ah thanks, that man in red. I’ll release you now..

Good observation, Tom. Personally, I know someone who was involved in this incident: they had their holiday cancelled.
July 6, 2015 at 8:34 am #320387rgosParticipantNow, this is a campaign, as we know. Does the Sousse picture foreshadow anything? You’d think it might be a series wouldn’t you? Maybe.
It’s an open air theatre tour involving lots of audience participation. Unfortunately, the tour schedule isn’t published.
July 6, 2015 at 2:51 pm #320751Jack33ParticipantThank you all for this thread…It’s been both informative and thoroughly entertaining!!
The absurdity of it all makes one question whether or not it was also an exercise designed to test the gullibility of the general public.

Source: http://www.nu.nl/buitenland/4082139/terrorist-sousse-was-animateur-toeristen.html
Seifeddine Rezgui was a member of the tourist animation team, Tunisian premier Habib Essid told La Presse newspaper. He was also a member of a dancing club.
Ah, that explains things. The animation team.
Source: http://www.lapresse.tn/05072015/101373/le-ministere-de-linterieur-nest-pas-infiltre.html

Yes, may I echo Jack and say ‘thanks everyone’.———————–
Just looking at The TUI Group whose logo has been subliminally emblazoned
(if that’s possible) across this Op.
TUI Group (German: TUI (Touristik Union International) Aktiengesellschaft) is a multinational travel and tourism company headquartered in Hannover, Germany. It is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company in the world, and owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail stores. The group owns six European airlines – the largest holiday fleet in Europe – and UK-based tour operator Thomson.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TUI_GroupHey, even the name suggests Tunisia. Tui becomes Tunisia with ‘an IS’ in it! Hehe.
———————————–
It took three men to contrive the TUI logo here.
Good spot on the reversed red Puma shirt xileffilex. I was wondering about that shirt and the ‘triangle’ emblem, then with perfect timing, up popped an advert for Arsenal’s new home kit for the 2015/16 season on my facebook wall.
‘Hey, thanks!’; I had a look on the back…
———————————–
I would say that both the TUI Group and Arsenal FC will do very well out of this little Tunisian beach play. They’ve had some fantastic free advertising.
———————————–Oh and don’t forget yellowman, xilef.
Reassuring to see a couple of versions of him there in a hat 🙂What’s that expression? ‘Fill your sandals’ ?

July 9, 2015 at 12:33 pm #324207Tom DalpraParticipantThe semi-colon tattoo. There’ been a big global media campaign over the last two days promoting this. ”Why everyone’s getting one”, ”Real reasons warming reasons to get a semi-colon tattoo.” facebook, stuff.co,India Times, buzzflare etg etc page after page. Ten pages of Google search and I got bored, all the same. Articles (from two days ago usually) promoting this tattoo.
Ostensibly: ” The Agora Crisis Centre in Albuquerque starts project to shed light on depression, anxiety and suicide.”
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02wl62rThe semi-colon.
It suggests an ongoing narrative. If we buy into it, we buy into an ongoing story.People, it looks like we’re heading into a new phrase!
TUI knew it would be trendy.

The Association of Gas Safety Managers and CORGI Technical Services send condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Adrian Evans, Gas Services Manager at Sandwell Homes, who died so tragically at the horrific attack in Sousse, Tunisia.
Adrian was an active member of the Association of Gas Safety Managers. He attended the annual Gas Safety Management Conferences and supported colleagues at the Midlands AGSM Gas Forums – his input on gas safety issues were always thoughtful and very welcome. He had over 30 years of experience working in the gas industry and his experience was invaluable in helping to promote gas safety in the 5,000 homes for which he was responsible. Our thoughts are with Adrian’s family at this very difficult time.

And now we have an emergency airlift…total BS, but you are on a package tour, you can’t argue.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/tunisia-attack-emergency-airlift-to-evacuate-all-british-tourists-underway-after-foreign-office-advice-tells-all-to-leave-10379488.htmlTour operators are switching capacity from Tunisia to Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria and Turkey.
which by definition must have spare “capacity”.
Between 2,500 and 3,000 British package holidaymakers are believed to be in Tunisia, as well as about 300 independent travellers.
Q: I’m currently in Tunisia, should I remain in the country?
Holidaymakers with a tour operator have been advised to contact them to confirm their arrangements for getting home.
If you are travelling independently, you should read the Foreign Office advice and consider whether your stay in Tunisia is essential.Be very very scared.
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/tunisia
If you’re travelling independently, you should make your own arrangements to leave. Commercial airlines are operating.

What a lovely tribute. ”Adrian attended the annual Gas Safety Conferences and supported colleagues at the Midlands AGSM Gas Forums”. I mean, the Midlands AGSM Gas Forums? What a man, and what a loss to gas safety.

Severn Trent Water has paid tribute to Suzanne Davey *** and Scott Chalkley who were killed in a terrorist massacre in Tunisia.
http://www.gloucestershireecho.co.uk/Tributes-Severn-Trent-Water-staff-Suzanne-Davey/story-26792456-detail/story.htmlThe water company said both of them worked for them
The couple, who had been together for two years, had booked the holiday as a celebration after buying their first house together in Castle Gresley, Derbs.
*** who is
the mother of Leicester City star Marc Albrighton’s partner [Chloe Fulford] has been confirmed [on Twitter, naturally] as victimc[sic] of the Tunisian gun massacre.
It’s a great game, football. We all love it.
Mr Chalkley’s son Ross Naylor confirmed his father’s death via Twitter.
He posted: “Tonight, me and Brad lost our dad. Unfortunately, he was caught up in the sickening attacks in Tunisia and is no longer with us. I feel I had to put this message out as many of you have been asking about him and asking for an update. I’m sure many of you have seen the news about Sue as well, so all I ask is that people let both families grief [sic] in peace. We are all trying to come to grips and process with what’s happened. So am I….
Rush to twitter, best way to grieve. -
